Position Overview:
The IT Business System Analyst Sr. will be responsible for assisting with the My ATX Water program including managing project related processes and program maintenance. The person in this role with be responsible for extensive data management and analysis. This role will be responsible for coordinating with the project contractors and holding them accountable to AW expectations. This role will work closely with internal customers, external customers, and contractors.

Travel:
If you are selected for this position and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.

Pay Range
$37.14 - $47.35

Experience managing or working with data analytics programs
Experience performing business analysis, developing scope and identification of requirements, and testing for a variety of software and Business Intelligence development projects including highly complex enterprise-wide projects to ensure division business needs are understood and acceptable to all impacted areas
Ability to pull and analyze data from large complex database systems using Business Intelligence systems, and integrated technologies for developing specialized reports and dashboards, monitoring data quality and identifying anomalies, reviewing and developing process improvements, and providing user training
Experience with writing and executing complex SQL queries to extract data from a variety of data sources
Experience leading cross-functional teams through project delivery, and ongoing operation, maintenance and field support
Experience using statistical methods and analysis approaches
Ability to travel to more than one work location
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

1.Partner with decision makers, system owners and end users to define business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals
2.Lead requirements gathering sessions to elicit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to potential IT solutions
3.Create more complex models, use cases, process flows, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to developers, designers, and vendors
4.Develop statement of work for use in requests for proposals
5.Evaluate compatibility and interoperability of commercial off-the-shelf or in-house technology systems
6.Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
7.Perform cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in making IT business decisions
8.Conduct research on software and hardware products and technology services to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
9.Write and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT applications across the organization
