Overview

The Business Services Analyst is responsible for supporting business services within the IT Business Services Management team. The role performs business analysis with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, and define requirements into documentation and conceptual design using appropriate techniques and visual models from which solutions are developed.

The role troubleshoots and solves issues, evaluates value of user change requests and assists in monitoring, measuring, and enhancing the service. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at various levels. Works with the IT Business Service Analyst II, business users, and external service providers to understand the underlying technologies and applications.

  • Work location is in East Petersburg, PA - This is not a permanent work-from-home position post pandemic.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a set of tasks and techniques used to work as a partner among stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to meet its goals. Perform enterprise analysis prior to pursuing business specific solutions. Creates visual models, elicits, & documents requirements.

  • Provides second level application services support to internal business users. Performs in depth research and identify sources of production issues.

    Investigates and documents root cause analysis of issues. Focused on the delivery of the service's business outcomes and Key Performance Indicators, when determining work priorities.

  • Work closely with business and technology partners in identifying process improvement opportunities. Build and foster relationships across multiple organizations.

  • Provides impact analysis of process and technical change requests to existing service. Analyzes impact of Information Technology environment changes and upgrades on the application services and coordinates testing and change management.

    Analyzes trends in application support tickets and executes problem management practices to eliminate recurring incidents. Assists in the development and execution of test plans, and documents results as necessary. Documents solutions in the Information Technology Service Management system to increase first level ticket resolution. Maintains system documentation.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Computer science, management information systems, or a related field. (Preferred)

Experience:

  • 3 or more years Business analysis and software support. Advanced PC skills to including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or similar word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications. Excellent problem solving, planning, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, including written, verbal and presentation skills. (Required)
  • 3 or more years Financial services sector, with a working understanding of bank technology, knowledge of primary banking applications and general banking experience. Database query tools such as SQL or similar tools and languages. Performing business process analysis, collecting, and writing business and functional requirements, including process and data flows, in support of technology investments. (Preferred)
  • *Must be available to work at our East Petersburg, PA office location (Post Pandemic) - This is not a permanent work-from-home position. (Required)

Overview The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide technical online banking troubleshooting for internal operations and Financial Centers and to process documents for Business Online Services Solutions (BOSS) and Small Business platforms, along with mobile deposit, Bill Pay, transfers, Zelle transactions and online mortgage payments inclusive of all online banking navigation related assistance. Position is hybrid with work location in the office in East Petersburg (near Lancaster, Pa) and remote Hours for the position are flexible within the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday Responsibilities * Process various forms and requests from Financial Centers and internal departments in a timely manner in relation to BOSS and Small Business and apply knowledge to ensure quality assurance of data as well as recognize customer needs and where a customer account would best fit in online account access systems * Assist in testing/training and triage/defect resolution for updates in current and future digital offerings to customers for both personal and business accounts * Receive, process and resolve Regulation E disputes for Bill Payments online through Bill Pay systems and Zelle disputes, research and process all disputes for incoming online transactions that meet Regulation E requirements, and collaborate with with customers, vendors, payees, and billers to clearly identify transactions, investigate and document per the requirements of Regulation E * Facilitate fraud case investigation to completion in collaboration with Fraud Risk Management as needed, train and develop individuals within the department, draft and develop department procedure documentation, perform system release, upgrade, or enhancement testing as directed by management * Maintain and refer online Bill Pay systems and services for highest customer retention while applying and ensuring adherence to compliance and security guidelines for Online Banking access to mitigate risk and fraud Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
