The Global Information Technology organization at Spectrum Brands understands, supports and enables the business strategies, goals, and priorities. We are currently implementing substantial amounts of new technology including SAP S/4HANA, Integrated Business Planning, Product Life Cycle Management, Sourcing solutions and many other applications as part of Spectrum Brand's business transformation roadmap.
Member of the IT Global Business Applications client-facing team. Acts as a primary point of contact between distribution and transportation functions and IT to drive and implement technology needs that meet business requirements. This individual will build strong, collaborative relationships with business stakeholders to create technology strategies and roadmaps to effectively support business strategy.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manage relationships with business stakeholders and drives industry best practices within the technology framework.
Ensure clear communication and accountability between business stakeholders and IT project delivery teams.
Deep understanding of assigned business functions and processes and coordinate communication among various business groups and IT project delivery teams.
Lead large programs and projects adhering to industry best practices; ability to manage project resources, scope, timeline, and budget.
Drive end to end technology solutions with strong SAP ECC and S4 Hana technical knowledge.
Responsible for business applications life cycle management. Works to develop an integrated view of business applications using repeatable approaches, cohesive frameworks, and available industry standard techniques.
Identify opportunities to expand system utilization or training gaps in the business.
Effectively articulate how to execute on strategies and shape technology solutions, partnering with delivery teams. Research, evaluate and recommend solutions to drive effective business solutions.
Act as a liaison between the project delivery teams and business customers ensuring accountability and delivery.
Partners with the project teams to define functional specifications for approved projects and consult to develop technical specifications and timelines.
Education and Experience Profile
Bachelor's Degree in an IT or a distribution and transportation related field is preferred. Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of 8 years of total business experience with a combination of experience in leading and directing IT solution delivery with direct interaction with business leadership with a distribution and transportation systems and processes.
Must have experience:
Implementing SAP S/4 HANA with a focus on distribution and transportation.
On project initiation, business case and project charter completion, set-up steering committees, requirements management and escalation process with project managers.
Leading large scale, transformational enterprise business implementations or programs.
Documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format.
Experience working with Consumer Product Goods and manufacturing is desired.
Demonstrated understanding and awareness of latest trends in technologies.
Proactively drive project delivery by prioritizing, defining, launching and executing projects effectively.
Versatility and a willingness to work within a change driven environment with enthusiasm.
Collaboration with users in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
Able to demonstrate understanding and awareness of latest trends in technologies.
Must be able to work with individuals at all levels of the business.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Able to travel at least 15% internationally and domestically to perform assigned duties.
