IT Business Operations Analyst

As part of this transformation, we are looking for a successful individual to develop and implement a centralized invoice process for the Information Technology department that maximizes OneAmerica's values and strengths in a rapidly evolving business environment. Seeking an individual who has strong accounting skills, specifically in Accounts Payable, and is eager to learn, grow and challenge themselves above and beyond the general AP role. Expectations are high within the department, and we are seeking an individual that has a developing accounting background and pays close attention to detail. The ideal candidate should have a passion to further their knowledge and a desire to improve current processes.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide critical thought leadership and expertise for a centralized invoice process

  • Review and set up vendors

  • Process IT invoices

  • Prepares reports to validate transactions

  • Investigate outstanding invoices and resolve payment

  • Book monthly accruals

  • Develop relationship with strategic vendors

  • Manage a major managed service vendors invoice and budget process

  • Compile and post monthly IT Metrics

  • Support and assist with financial analysis within project business cases

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excellent organization and time management skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with specific programs and software

  • Offer solutions/suggestions to improve current procedures and systems

  • Provide supervisor, management, and other departments with requested information and assist with special projects, as requested

  • Chrome River experience a plus

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferable or related business discipline
  • 2 3 years of Accounts Payable experience

Location: Richmond, IN (preferred) or Indianapolis, IN Required Travel: 10% This position which sits inside the Global HR and ERP Finance IT Pillar is responsible for managing the health of our Global ERP Financials and Procurement Application portfolio consisting of a number of Key Systems – an on premise SAP ERP Global implementation with integrations developed using Dell Boomi, ORACLE Hyperion Reporting, and a Cloud based Procurement System Zycus. This hands-on role will ensure that all projects and system support primarily in the Plan to Manufacture (P2M), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (RTR) business areas are implemented and maintained to quality by adopting best practice SAP configuration and technology. The role will be involved with Application Analysis and Design, System Configuration and Development, Integration, Maintenance and Support for the delivery of projects and minor/major releases primarily for P2M, P2P and RTR. This includes supporting the company's month end close processes. They will work closely with SAP Technical Analysts and business owners to understand the business requirements and deliver solutions that support the ongoing Global P2M, P2P and RTR IT and Business Strategy. They will also work alongside our other Functional and Technical Consultants we contract with from time to time for our larger initiatives. The ideal candidate would be located within commutable distance to our corporate facilities located in either Richmond, IN (preferred) or Indianapolis, IN. Core Responsibilities of this role include: * Responsible for the techno functional well-being of Belden's on premise Global ERP SAP system and the related integrations with our other Financial systems with primary responsibility for the P2M, P2P and RTR functional areas * Act as functional and configuration design authority for the P2M, PTP and RTR Application portfolio * Partner with our SAP BASIS and Security team to ensure that our environments are maintained and our systems are patched regularly * Lead the functional design and implementation of our P2M, P2P and RTR projects, enhancements, cyclical processes and system support * To develop quality functional configuration and requirements documentation adhering to team and departmental standards * To provide SAP functional support including analysis, configuration, testing, tracking and resolution * To demonstrate high level of communication skills (verbal and written) * To ensure current skills are up-to-date through research and practice * To engage professionally with our P2M, P2P and RTR business stakeholders Qualified candidates will possess: * Bachelor's degree in a technical related field * Minimum 7 years hands on SAP or ORACLE ERP Techno Functional and System Configuration experience * Minimum of 5 years functional and process knowledge managing P2M, P2P and RTR business processes * Experience working Direct Procurement business processes * Minimum 3 years hands on experience with designing and developing integrations with complex systems – knowledge of Dell Boomi is a plus * Knowledge on ERP trends and industry best practices * Possess a strong track record of business process engineering leadership with a "hands on" style.
