COOK SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL has an IMMEDIATE need for a IT Business Analyst / Portfolio Analyst
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving abilities. This individual must also work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.
Under General Supervision the Business Analyst will be:

  • Liaison between Business users and IT development

  • Specialize in one or more business areas such as Finance, Sales, eCommerce or Service.

  • Support the Product Owner on defining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria and to define estimated business benefits from Features that are planned.

  • Develop and manage user acceptance criteria and coordinate end user training. (Experience with grooming backlog, breaking down EPICs into smaller features with clear concise user stories/acceptance criteria is a plus)

  • Understand the source and use of key business data and prepares analysis reports to enable business and design decisions.

  • Would be working with several Agile Scrum teams

  • Become a subject matter expert, develop deep knowledge of platform and knowledge of downstream/upstream systems utilized by, advise the business on best practices

  • Consult with the business to identify and define business requirements and to initiate and prioritize enhancement, gap analysis, and prepare user stories

  • Develop requirements documentation and diagrammatic models such as use cases, functional specifications and coordinate the capture of process models and functional testing, ensuring the system is functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well integrated.

  • Assist Portfolio Managers in project timeline definition related to user documentation requirements including review phases, level of effort and duration of requirements management activities.
