The IT Business Analyst will provide technical and functional support to our Multiple Business Segments through researching, advising, and implementing IT solutions to specific business performance goals and needs. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for learning our business partner's, goals, and priorities in order to develop and recommend enabling technology solutions. The IT Business Analyst will have business acumen and will need working knowledge of general end to end order to cash and supply chain business processes and how processes are or can be enabled by technology.
How you will impact WestRock:
Work with WestRock's multiple business segments to develop business cases for technology solutions.
Gather and document business functional requirements, epics and user stories for technology solutions.
Work with IT project leads, product owner in developing project scope, project charter, project timeline, and "use cases" based on business requirements.
Work with IT project lead, product owner and/or technical staff to design and/or enhance systems based on business requirements.
Design and coordinate test plans for designed solutions in partnership with business partners and IT functions.
Provide software support, tests, corrects and documents large and/or complex issues and recommends modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools.
Research and understand industry best practices in technical and functional business areas in order to recommend & enable business processes, driving improvements in workflow and increasing business partner productivity.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or related area of study
5-7 years of IT and/or business-related analyst experience
Experience, project manager, business or systems analyst in a high visibility role working on technology projects
Experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions
Internal client-facing engagement/working relationships
Strong process and analytical skills
Defining and designing business processes and workflows across various order to cash and supply chain functions and stakeholders in the organization
Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative problem-solving skills, ability to listen to and understand needs across diverse stakeholders at various levels of the organization
Possess a strong understanding of capability delivery using Agile Methodology - familiarity with concepts of Agile and Waterfall
Strong knowledge and use of business analyst practices and processes
Thorough understanding of business processes.
Proficient in documenting Visio flows
Knowledge and use of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Business Analyst Certification (e.g. CCBA, CBAP or AAC) strongly preferred
Experience being the business analyst on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in manufacturing environment
Industry experience: paper mill
Experience with accounting processes and terminology
