General Summary

This position is responsible for being the key representative and liaison for the IT department to the Materials Segment, providing support for business systems and strategically aligning IT initiatives to the assigned department's needs to ensure alignment with IT initiatives and business strategy and needs.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems to ensure timely, effective and efficient delivery of corporate systems.

  • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements to ensure avoiding unnecessary costs.

  • Collect, analyze, and structure business requirements, procedures, and problems to ensure improved business processes through automation and business process re-engineering to ensure timely, effective and efficient delivery of corporate systems.

  • Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates requirements documentation for systems to meet business request and needs to ensure appropriate deployment of applications to business users.

  • Designs details of automated systems to ensure effective and efficient corporate systems.

  • May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems to ensure business users understand system capabilities and processes.

  • May lead cross-functionally-linked teams to address business or systems issues to ensure automated system is responsive to business requirements.

  • Collect, analyze, and structure business requirements, procedures, and problems to ensure improved business processes through automation and business process re-engineering.

  • Evaluate the impact of system changes introduced by customizations, interfaces, patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure timely, effective and efficient delivery of corporate systems.

Education and Work Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Knowledge of Command Alkon, APEX, Scale Watcher, Auto ID, and Mobile Sales

  • Experience with Aggregate mining business processes i desirable.

  • Knowledge of assigned department/business function regulatory requirements desired.

  • Good written and oral communication skills with capacity to influence peers, cross-functional partners and management and convey ideas in both business and technical terms.

  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Benefits may vary for positions located outside of the continental United States.

Base Salary Range:

$95,005.00 - $190,974.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
