Job Responsibilities

Supports the development, implementation, training, and management of applications utilized by maintenance field operations statewide. Assists the Maintenance Program Support Manager for the Director of Maintenance Office (DOM) with the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) development, training, and implementation.

Coordinates with all stakeholders (District/County maintenance units, IT Services (IT), DOM Management, etc.) to establish efficient workflows, processes, training, and reports that support the needs of statewide maintenance operations. Provides training to other trainers as well as end users on the proper use of all applicable modules of the departments Enterprise Asset Management System.

Prepares ad hoc reports, presentations, and other documents to aid in quality control and management of system data. Establishes and assists district/county managers with best management practices for quality control of data within the applicable modules of EAMS. Utilizes reporting (Jasper, Discoverer, etc.) and business intelligence (Microsoft PowerBI) tools to build dashboards, reports, tools to aid in the efficient consumption of data to support maintenance operations.

Meets with maintenance managers and users to determine business requirements and software needs. Establishes priorities and coordinates appropriate work in cooperation with IT Services and consultant developers.

Identifies system modifications and enhancements. Tests and approves information systems changes and provides results to IT Services for implementation. Develops and maintain policies, procedures, business rules, and user documentation for maintenance information systems. Ensures documentation is current and distributes appropriately statewide.

Assists the DOM Office during inclement weather and emergency response operations as necessary.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area and three (3) years of experience in computer system development and modification; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal business hours.
