Department Overview

This role exists within the ParMed IT division of Cardinal Health. This team supports the ParMed Pharmaceuticals Business Unit which supports the retail pharmacy market. The team supports both Build and Run activities for ParMed.com as well as works closely with other IT teams that own applications leveraged by the ParMed Sales team.

Role Overview

This role will serve as a Business Analyst for an Agile IT team, supporting Cardinal Health's ParMed Business and Sales Teams. This role will work closely with our business clients, support build and run activities for ParMed.com as well as project work for the ParMed Business Unit. The role will be responsible for requirements gathering and creation of user stories, management of project backlogs and support of Iteration activities.

What Business Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health

  • Business Analysis is responsible for deeply understanding the business in multiple functional areas and across Business Units, as well as understanding the application landscape and capabilities. They maintain relationships with the business and leverage requirements engineering practices and methods to enable improved business processes to drive business success. They align business strategies and capability needs into business and technical requirements to ensure IT systems enable the desired value.

  • Knows and executes best practices for business analysis processes and functions (from an industry and strategic standpoint), including requirements elicitation methods. Knows emerging trends.

  • Defines requirements in accordance with SDP/SDLC, management and project/product scope. Ensures problem statements and objectives are clearly defined. Ensures requirements are aligned to project scope, objectives and strategies.

  • Leads elicitation sessions using variety of requirements gathering methods such as interviews, documentation analysis, surveys, site visits, business models with executives, managers, developers and subject matter experts.

  • Facilitates the team through the analysis of, and makes recommendations towards, complex business decisions.

  • Mediates across different IT teams utilizing knowledge of IT and roles and responsibilities within the organization.

  • Focuses on process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.

  • Demonstrates excellent listening, communication, and facilitation skills.

  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst is a must.

  • Experience with project requirement gathering from non-technical end users and collaborating with technical developers.

  • Agile framework experience a major plus.

  • Experience writing detailed test cases.

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience

This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Information technology function. This position will report to IT Service Performance Manager. Description The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: * Responsible to determine stakeholder needs, architect solutions and evaluate high-level design issues relating to platform, enterprise software and integrations with other systems. * Responsible for creation of requirements, test plans, test cases and testing for any Service Now automation or modifications * Analyze and fully understand business requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilities, automate process workflows and address scheduling limitations throughout the development and delivery of the ServiceNow roadmap for all environments * Identify and troubleshoot complex problems, perform root cause analysis, provide forward thinking, and long term technical solutions * Establish technical feasibility and solution designs for ServiceNow enhancements, functionality, new applications and services, conduct POCs to demo new ideas and help solidify technical direction * Develop processes and standards for creating and maintaining software documentation, including test cases, Peer reviewing code and configuration. * Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, QA, and production environments * Supporting resolution for defects arising from development work and platform upgrades. * Collaborate or partner with ServiceNow Platform offshore team * Understand the underlying culture * Clearly define and control requirements, milestones and objectives * Provide detailed system design documents * Communicate closely and often and be aware of time differences * Thoroughly test the delivered solution and always review projects upon completion * Perform duties of an agile Scrum Master such as hosting standup meetings, managing backlog grooming, handling backlog prioritization, removing impediments, capacity planning, and escalating to management as need. * 25% travel (10% international) This job is based on a ladder structure and the job level (salary) will be determined by the quantity and quality of your experience.
