  • Cooperation with external service providers: Orders via the administration tool IT performances such as client and printer installations, activation of software objects, user accounts for IT systems, access rights for network drives, memory space extensions etc. under consideration of cost limits according to standardized market basket.

    Ensures beforehand the availability of internal approvals. Prepares the commission of software development orders regarding order specific handling, follows up the progress of order execution. Supports the service provider if necessary or in emergency situations regarding bug fixing or fault localization. Manages access authorizations to SCHOTT buildings for external and internal IT service providers.

  • User consulting: Is contact person for all IT issues in addition to the customer hotline.

    Ensures towards users the compliance of software and hardware standards in case of procurement, as well as economical usage of available IT systems (hardware and software), usage and procurement of external services such as trainings and processes of application development (support in creation of specification sheets). Repairs minor issues at client and periphery. Coordinates moves and transports and ensures a professional installation and dismantling of IT equipment. Introduces new employees regarding IT processes and IT organization.

    Suggests further education measures for users. Supports users in initial operation of a new client. Procures hardware and software licenses as well as services according to the existing standards with the aid of standard tools.

    Organizes and keeps essential passwords. Organizes mail representatives. Maintains master data of users in the Service Request Management.

  • Interface department and IT management: Communicates department requirements to IT.

    Communicates IT topics in the departments and pays attention to implementation of valid IT guidelines and standards. Participates in investment and budget planning of the department/site regarding IT costs. Monthly analyzes planned/actual deviations and initiates appropriate corrective measures for target achievement.

    Ensures in consultation with cost center responsible of the department the compliance of IT cost planning. Manages licenses not centrally held. Coordinates in support of cost center managers the return of IT equipment of retiring or changing employees.

    Disposes hardware and expandable materials that is no longer needed. Organizes hard- and software and their licenses, executes inventories with the administration tools provided by IT. Supports management in IT related operational restrictions regarding coordination of emergency measures.

  • Data protection: Sensitizes users regarding data protection.

    Reports data protection offenses. Sensitizes supervisors regarding to notifications of change department specific topics.

  • Expert knowledge: Keeps his/her knowledge up to date by continuous further education regarding general IT development and IT strategies/processes at SCHOTT as well as relating to data protection.

  • Technical or commerical apprenticeship, preferably qualified IT specialist in systems integration

  • 3-5 years occupational experience in DV application, project experience, planning and realization of area specific IT solutions, MS Office, basic knowledge of infrastructural topics, information- and data protection, sensitive IT security, IT-accounting process and prize, business process and developments in the area with effect on IT strategy, English

Monday - Friday Shifts 2nd Shift 2:30PM to 11PM 3rd Shift 9:30PM to 6:00AM Midwest Regional Distribution Center in LEBANON, IN Clean, low noise environment with a friendly and supportive culture! Responsibilities Receives, stores, picks and ships products within distribution center by performing the following duties: Unloads product, separates, counts and verifies inbound product to packing slip before unitizing and/or transferring product to storage. * Utilizes powered industrial equipment, WMS system and RF Handheld unit to place product in designated rack or storage locations. * Utilizes powered industrial equipment , WMS system and RF to pick appropriate products from locations to complete orders. * Assembles customer orders, places product on pallets and transports to the shipping department, stretch wraps pallet and locates pallet on specified dock location. * Loads trailers, based on customer specifications, with orders for shipment. * Processes UPS orders. * Replenishes master reels to the cutting area. * Complies and takes full responsibility to support facility's quality program. * Complies with safety policies and procedures. * Other duties may be assigned by management as needed.
