Job Description: Maintains thorough inventory for all IT hardware and software infrastructure assets at several customer locations.
Administers policies governing procurement, maintenance, or disposal of IT assets. Records assets received by the organization and tracks location of use from purchase to disposal. Audits software licenses to determine usage, ensures compliance with vendor agreements, and control costs.
Identifies opportunities to reduce costs through bulk purchasing, or other methods. Maintains records of purchase contracts, invoices, payments, or service level agreements. Composes and implements Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) for hardware, software licensing, maintenance and support contracts.
Creates and maintains an annual purchasing schedule and tracks progress for each renewal or new requirement, working directly with subcontracts teams, vendors and manufacturers to ensure no lapses in coverage. Works directly with vendors to establish purchase registrations and discount partnerships to receive the best value for each bid award. Modifies maintenance contracts as needed to integrate new purchases, co-term contracts and bundle costs. Coordinates current and future licensing and support needs with site managers and technical engineers to validate purchase requirements, create purchase justification documents and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Required Skills Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years ITIL Certification highly desired
