VIEW JOBS 11/12/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-10T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE: The Project Manager - Asset Protection System Defects and Enhancements is primarily responsible for driving shrink and loss-impacting IT defects to remediation and resolution. This involves active management of cross-functional business groups, strong understanding of financial and system workings, and engagement and follow-up to drive efforts forward. Often, as defects and enhancements are resolved, there is opportunity for delivering profit improvement through the reclamation of shrink dollars and avoidance of future shrink/loss. This project manager must be able to understand and articulate intricacies of defects identified from Asset Protection, field, or other business partners and actively track their status with key IT teams and partners. The nature of these projects require an advanced understanding of financial systems and the profitability impact of IT defects. Once solutions have been identified and developed, the project manager will work with IT, Financial Integration, Inventory Accounting, and other partners to ensure that defects and enhancements have been successfully resolved. The role will also be instrumental in ensuring effective monitoring of issues that have been identified or resolved to avoid shrink and loss exposure. This is often done through sourcing relevant metrics and data, and creation of Tableau dashboards and alerts to prevent a relapse into shrink-causing activities or to notify if the existing run-rate of gaps is accelerating. The project manager will facilitate an AP governance group to build consensus around AP IT Priorities for immediate or near term IT action. Additionally, this role will maintain a healthy backlog of potential needs and fixes and keep a strong awareness of issues that exist and value that can be obtained by resolving these issues. The project manager will also work with leaders in the AP organization to identify future IT and process enhancements for strategic capital projects and conduct cost benefit analysis for these ventures. Actively partners with business partners, IT and QA resources to ensure as new system changes and company technology initiatives are introduced and implemented, shrink and loss concerns have been well vetted and mitigated. Ability to influence without authority is critical in this role, as well as building strong business cases for defects and enhancements to be prioritized by IT and business partners, as funding and prioritization is generally only achieved by partnership agreement.
