THE OPPORTUNITY
The objective of the IT Asset Analyst role is to optimize both hardware and software asset costs by using proper asset lifecycle management, ensure compliance with vendor terms and conditions, and minimize risk exposure. The IT Asset Analyst will support this objective by taking a prominent role in the hardware and software asset management and mobile phone programs. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, self-driven work environment. CA is currently in the implementation phase with our Software Asset Management function so this role will also have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the function from the inception. This individual will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operations of the asset management and mobile phone programs, including cross-team collaboration required to manage assets across all office locations. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring alignment to all software policies and controls across the organization by raising awareness and educating end users. They will oversee the handling of all assets throughout the asset lifecycle and maintain accuracy within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), across all hardware, software, and mobile phones.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the daily and long-term management and tracking of all IT assets.
Coordinate all asset management activities across the organization to enable collaboration that reduces the life cycle cost and risk of all assets used by the group.
Define metrics, gather data, and report effectiveness of IT asset management processes.
Enter and maintain information on IT assets in the approved asset tracking and normalization system, to address compliance, inventory, contract, and cost needs.
Manage all data in the CMDB so it remains updated and accurate. Work collaboratively with application owners to review and update data on in house applications on a periodic basis.
Partner with Enterprise Procurement team to stay current on purchased software license restrictions and provide continuous oversight of current usage to ensure alignment
Design, develop, generate, and review SAM reports to communicate and monitor consistency and completeness in the software register.
Participate in the distribution, replacement, and collection of mobile phones for users as needed.
Raise awareness of SAM processes and policies across the IT organization and wider business as appropriate through communication with and education of stakeholders
Manage cellular service for the organization for company issued iPhones & iPad

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in any field - information systems is a plus
2-3+ years' experience in an asset management or related field
CITAM: Certified IT Asset Manager or CSAM: Certified Software Asset Manager desired
Service Desk experience is a plus
Familiarity with the basics of ServiceNow is preferred and experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro is a plus
Can demonstrate the ability to communicate in both verbal and written communication
Ability to learn and adapt to multiple software systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to set and meet deadlines autonomously
Strong organizational management skills
Ability to work on and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to conduct data analysis and present findings in a clear and concise manner
Ability and willingness to travel internationally
Familiarity with working within Verizon and AT&T service portals
