Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks IT Architect Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to define, maintain, and extend functional product architecture for FIS' suite of Financial Services Applications and coordinate and guide the work of others. Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Engagement Manager.

Contribute to the creation of a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements, providing current best practice and third-party solution alternatives. Contribute to\ own the technical design document. Complete and co-implement a configuration workbook and propose the most effective architectural solutions to meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.

Work with project team to design prototypes to validate application functionality. Perform custom systems architecture and design for highly scalable and financial transaction - intensive applications, to include design of web-based user portals (front ends), and large, complex back ends, as well as middleware interfaces to multiple products.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: working with end-to-end complex systems development life cycles including waterfall, iterative, Agile and Jira by developing backlog entries working with Product Managers and Scrum Masters for application and process development; partnering with engineering and operation departments to assess feasibility, complexity and scope of new capabilities and solutions; working with clients to determine business requirements to design solution patterns for applications within cloud technologies, incorporating networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, and middleware, while adhering to related infrastructure technologies and practices; designing solutions in a distributed and heterogeneous cloud computing environment including OS ZOS, UNIX, Windows, and relational / hierarchical databases including SQL, DB2, Oracle Exadata, Golden Gate, and DataGuard; implementing solutions using Clustering/High Availability, Virtualization, ESX/VMware VMs, nPar/vPar, hard/soft zones, storage and Raid levels, Thick and thin provisioning, VCS, and Microsoft/SQL Clusters; loading balanced solutions with F5-GTM/LTM GLB LLB VIPS, horizontal and vertical application clusters;

performing granular recovery, Global Load Balancing, and DNS; and driving continuous improvement including design, service strategy, and standardization of process and methodologies. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
