The IT Cloud Solutions Architect is part of a cross-functional service team and responsible for architecting and designing comprehensive solution that meet service architecture requirements in support of enterprise architecture specifications and standards. The architect will develop and enforce service-specific operational standards, processes and procedures.

Ability to quickly produce prototypes of new

technology solutions by being HANDS-ON in development and guide

developers to completion of the final solution

Establish standards / best practice in design patterns, code standards and

deployment

Facilitate cross technical team collaboration by working with system

developers, technical analysts, infrastructure teams, testing teams and project

managers to assist in development, validation, and delivery of all aspects of

the solution

Deliver technology / architecture documents of the solutions being developed

(Deployment Diagrams, Sequence diagrams, Data Flow models etc.)

Continuously improve processes, technologies, applications to provide best

value to business.

Review and approve project deliverables to ensure that they are

architecturally sound and achieve as great a degree of fit with the desired

architectures as possible.

Participate and drive design/architecture meetings for Cloud Deployment

Requirements

Experience

Experience in delivering high scale, high performance Web Applications

Experience relational database like Oracle and writing complex SQLs

Exposure to Performance testing /tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting

Software defined infrastructure (SDi, SDDC, SDE) environment, preferably

architecting IaaS, SaaS, PaaS offerings

Broad knowledge of build, integration, deployment and provisioning of cloud

services

Modern engineering tools (i.e., Jira, Git, GitHub, Chef, Puppet, BOSH, etc.)

Experience with Multi-Speed IT Delivery

Experience with Cloud Architecture and Service Models (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS)

Experience with Test Driven Development

Experience in building SPA Web applications using AngularJS or similar

technologies is a plus

Strong technical skills/hands on experience in developing

using the following technologies:

Spring MVC, Core

JPA , Hibernate

REST / SOAP

XML / XSLT

Multi Threading

Application / Web servers

Unix / Linux

JavaScript / JQuery / JSON /HTML5 / CSS

Maven, Ant, Jenkins

Strong Agile methodology experience

They will develop a cloud strategy to integrate AWS operations into a BMS standard workflow and incident handling processes. * Provides technical operations support for AWS cloud-based solutions for internal clients on supported applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure. * Develop a cloud strategy to integrate AWS operations into a BMS standard workflow and incident handling processes. * Receive and record incident related information leveraging tools and process, selects appropriate actions to resolve issues and communicates the solution or action plan to the client. * Evaluates and selects tools as part of the Cloud integrated toolchain. They use professional knowledge and problem determination/source identification skills to resolve problems involving APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, micro-services, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware components, network, security and infrastructure issues alike. If unable to resolve, will triage and route the incident to the appropriate level of support. * Understand high-level cloud application architecture and the ability to do the initial analysis of incidents. * Provide cloud elasticity by auto-scaling up/down of resources based on the business requirements. * Coordinate and engineer AWS Availability Zone and regional architecture for data protection, DR and manual redundancy failovers. * Provide daily, weekly & monthly integrated service management reports across the solution. * Would work with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, and AWS Systems Manager automation. * The candidate should understand the ITIL processes of Incident (including Critical Incident Management), Problem, Change management, and Integrated Service Level Management. * Should have experience with monitoring tools such as Amazon Cloud Watch. * Technical understanding of AWS EC2, VPC, Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, Lambda, Container management, S3, Intelligent Tiering, EBS, RDS. * A Deep technical skill in AWS Service infrastructure, software architecture and cloud computing. * Demonstrated ability to think strategically about solutions to business, product, and technical challenges. * Awareness of technology trends and how they impact the way BMS businesses consume IT. Required Technical and Professional Expertise * At least 6 years' experience as a systems administrator in a systems operations role * Bachelor's Degree is required * Experience with maintaining operating systems at the command line (shell scripting in Linux environments, command line or PowerShell in Windows) * Minimum of two years professional hands-on experience with the AWS platform * Professional experience managing/operating production systems on AWS * Monitoring and auditing systems experience * Hands-on experience with the AWS CLI and SDKs/API tools * AWS data protection and lifecycle experience using technologies like EBS snapshots, S3/Glacier, data replication between availability zones and regions, etc. * Good grasp of fundamental security concepts with hands on experience implementing security controls and compliance requirements * Extensive experience with using ITIL processes, ideally managed using ServiceNow. * Demonstrated leadership moving projects and programs from ideation to completion on time. * Willingness to serve in a 24x7 on-call cycle to manage escalations. * Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, qualification and validation of applications. * Strong verbal and written communication skills (content creation such as whitepapers, proof of concepts, etc.).
