What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for an IT Applications Manager to join our IT team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.

The IT Applications Manager for Sales, Costing & Pricing systems is responsible to ensure operation of the according applications, managing the team and budget. Within this responsibility, the IT Application Manager needs to align with the business stakeholders on IT strategy and governance, build a strategy/roadmap to implement the agreed target IT landscape, and ensure this landscape remains actual. Building the strategy and the roadmap requires the ability to communicate clear with senior management and demonstrate the ability to understand process requirements and translate those into an IT specification. The application manager should have a solid background in OEM Sales and Costing & Pricing processes as well as on the according applications in SAP, Salesforce and/or Costing Tools such as PLC from Siemens.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate requirements for US and EMEA and support cross regional/functional alignment

  • Supervise global digitalization strategy and align with the global team members in all regions

  • Evaluate and approve solution proposals by business/receiver

  • Supervise solution/technical requirements with cross functional architects to provide cost efficient solutions

  • Work together with business stakeholders on new ideas and support business to push to executive approval

  • Manage customer expectations and conflicts on timing and technical issues

  • Supervise and follow up on:

  • Process of optimization and analysis of IT Landscape

  • Evaluation and procurement of software applications

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and upkeep of these applications as required

  • Reporting on the progress of operational matters to senior management and stakeholders

  • Supervise new implementations and take ownership that business case is delivered

  • Direct the project management to ensure successful execution from the build of functional and technical documentation till UAT and Hypercare

  • Direct regular project gateway reviews on demands in the BIT: Business Integration Lead meeting

  • Manage vendors and perform regular performance review meetings

  • Control Budget and provide financial management

  • Review team open issues and KPI for Projects, Operation and ServiceDesk

  • Report out project status and escalations to Senior Management and C-Level

What you will bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master´s Degree desirable

  • 8 years minimum experience in IT organization, 2-4 years in a management position

  • Preferred: Experience in SAP MM, Coupa and/or SAP BN (Ariba), SAP S4/CPH

Technical Background:

  • Understanding of IT processes

  • Understanding and track record of IT Projects

  • Understanding of Coupa, SAP Central Procurement Hub, SAP BN, SAP MM and other Procurement relevant standard applications

  • Understand the build of interfaces from an architectural point of view and the possible technical solutions such as XML, API, I Docs

Soft Skills:

  • Strong coaching and communication skills (English)

  • Ability to handle diversified global teams

  • Experience in handling a team with 15+, plus external

  • Support adaptation and continuous improvement in the organization

  • Drive talent management and team members development
