The IT Applications Analyst supports the daily operation and support of the organization's point of sale (POS) solution along with other business-critical applications and systems. This includes the configuration, installation, maintenance, testing, and user support of hardware and software solutions deployed throughout the zoo and off-site facilities. They act as the primary point of contact for all issues regarding the zoo's POS solution and act as a liaison between the zoo and its software vendors for troubleshooting and problem resolution.

This position's pay range: $55,300 - $65,100

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT APPLICATIONS ANALYST AT JBZ

The IT Applications Analyst acts as a helpdesk providing end-user support and training for zoo staff on software and hardware. They create and maintain user accounts and documentation for system configurations and training.

The IT Applications Analyst works closely with the IT team and other zoo teams to support and maintain the zoo's technology infrastructure, and they setup and deploy new devices as needed. This position is required to split weekend shifts during the open season.

Experience Required

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN IT APPLICATIONS ANALYST AT JBZ High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working in an IT discipline or completing education in an IT major for a minimum of 3 years.

Knowledge of IT ticket systems, credit card processing, and POS equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Cisco or Ubiquiti Networking, Microsoft SQL Server, VMWare, Google Workspace, or similar software packages.
