IT Application Analyst III - Epic Bridges

Responsibilities

IT Application Analyst III - Epic Bridges position provides expert Bridges knowledge in analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining interfaces in a healthcare environment on multiple concurrent projects. Serves as technical resource for Epic Bridges, coordinating with Epic Application Analysts, Third-Party Application Analysts, Infrastructure Teams, vendors, and subject matter experts in the development and implementation of integration projects.

Travel estimated 10-15%

• Travel to variety of InnovAge centers, including overnight travel and out of state

Functional Category:

Estimated Percent of time 70%

• Have a solid understanding of the business and operational aspects within the InnovAge Entities, and the software/hardware used.

• Create and maintain appropriate build documentation.

• Reviewing, triaging, and resolving day-to-day interface errors, including coordinating with technical teams, application teams, and third-party system representatives as necessary.

• Managing the entire implementation cycle of interfaces, web services, and industry-standard APIs (such as FHIR), including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support.

• Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple tasks with high quality results and adherence to deadlines.

• Working closely with application teams, subject matter experts, and third‐party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements.

• Analyze complex data sets (HL7 2.x, XML messaging formats such as C-CDA).

• Coordinating interface-specific tasks and activities like testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, server and networking teams, Epic Client System Administrators, and interface engine developers.

• Dependent on the Application(s) supported this position is required to take call.

• Develop Level of Effort estimates and ability to track actual time worked accurately.

• Assists in facilitating meetings with end-users/business owners.

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Functional Category: Project Management

Estimated Percent of time 20%

• Maintain regular communication with Business Owners, Project Managers, Vendors, and Customers.

• Perform analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with assigned software/hardware used under supervision.

Functional Category: Information Integrity

Estimated Percent of time 10%

• Develop clear and concise process flows and supporting documentation for business owners and units.

• Adhere to standards for naming and numbering conventions, change control, environment management, and security classifications.

• Demonstrates understanding of Data Architecture and Integration concepts and strategies, experienced in designing data integration solutions preferred.

REQUIRED

• 3+ years in a Healthcare setting, physician practice or hospital

• 5+ years Epic Application configuration/design experience

• Epic Bridges Certification is required. Must stay current on new version certification as applicable.

• 3+ years of experience in HL7 interfaces

PREFERRED

• Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or an equivalent level of professional experience preferred.

• 5+ years of Epic Application configuration/design experience.

• Project Management experience

• 5+ years experience working in a Healthcare setting, physician practice or hospital preferred.

• Expert knowledge of communications protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTPS, sFTP)

• Prior experience designing and supporting various forms of healthcare application integrations.

• Experience with FHIR or Epic's Interconnect is a plus.

• Familiarity with JSON and integrating engines

• Experience with programming

• Oracle OIC experience is a plus
