The Dumke College of Health Professions IT and Medical Systems Specialist will assist in the support and maintenance of the computers and Information Systems in the college, including the desktops, laptops and servers. Under the direction of the College Director of Computing Services, this person helps the faculty and staff with their Information Technology needs.

This position will provide technical support for the Dumke College of Health Professions Interdisciplinary Simulation Lab(s). Provides support for complex Dental instruments. Provide support for complex Dental, Medical Laboratory System and Radiologic Science instruments.

Ability to troubleshoot problems, interfaces and issues between complex medical instruments and a variety of medical software. Some examples include Dental X-ray instruments, MLS medical lab instruments, Nursing SimLab monitoring systems and patient simulators, Rad Sci Imaging systems. Maintain interfaces between complex medical instruments and dental/medical software.

Required Qualifications

Required:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • At least 1 year experience in a Team Leader or mentoring position

  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting technology in a full time position with emphasis on two or more of the following technologies:

  • Microsoft Active Directory

  • Microsoft System Center

  • JAMF

  • Extron / AV Technologies

  • Virtualization Software

  • Terminal Services

  • Experience providing in-depth support for enterprise systems and software, such as Google Apps for Education, INB, Argos reporting, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, Apple OS, etc.

  • Experience evaluating and maintaining the security of computer stations

  • Experience imaging computers

Preferred Qualifications

Seeking applicants with knowledge of Windows 7 & 10, Mac OSX, and Linux operating systems, TCP/IP networking, video recording and mixing devices, A/V wiring, Wi-Fi Troubleshooting, Virus and Malware Removal, Data Recovery, Customer Service, MS Office, PC Maintenance, Classroom and Lecture Capture, Disk Cloning, Account Management, and Desktop Security.

Ability to troubleshoot problems, interfaces and issues between complex medical instruments and a variety of medical software. Some examples include Dental X-ray instruments, MLS medical lab instruments, Nursing SimLab monitoring systems and patient simulators, Rad Sci Imaging systems.

Maintain interfaces between complex medical instruments and dental/medical software.

Experience with medical simulation.

Ability to plan projects, create and assign tasks, maintain schedules, set deadlines

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Bachelor's Degree in another field with additional 2-years I.T. experience.

ITIL Foundations Certification, Technology Training, Microsoft IIS, A/V Media Editing. A/V Industry Certifications such as CTS.
