The IT Analyst, Web Applications will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications for North America users and customers. The IT Analyst, Web Applications will be responsible to carry out implementation and support in web, mobile technology and related data reporting technologies. The IT Analyst, Web Applications will participate in modernizing the technical landscape and platforms for application development. The IT Analyst, Web Applications will also be leading implementations, managing services, and carrying out project work with the offshore development team when necessary.

  • Responsible to design, implement, develop, and maintain company's web applications developed in various technologies like ASP.NET (C# & VB), MVC, PHP, SQL Server, MySQL.

  • Debug server-side issues in Visual Studio or other IDEs.

  • Ensure application uptime working very closely with other Saint-Gobain IT teams and other internal / external stakeholders.

  • Perform design review, code reviews to ensure that it follows company's guidelines and industry best practices.

  • Perform application testing: Technical Unit testing, Functional Testing, Security Testing, Regression testing, and Load testing.

  • Responsible for maintaining the servers' operating system, databases, other application components, and licenses.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide technical support to business teams

  • Use/Migrate Git Repositories, like GitLab in distributed development team set up.

  • Automate deployment process using tools like Jenkins, GitLab.

  • Administration of third-party applications to meet unique business needs and requirements.

  • Development on Azure platforms

  • Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions that solve complex problems and suggest enhancements to architecture, websites, apps, and systems.

  • Support the move to cloud initiative. Help plan and support the web application migration from on-prem to MS Azure cloud. Modernize the applications as part of this migration. Work with business stakeholders on requirements validation and prioritization. Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain new and current software applications in support of achieving the business goals.

  • Work with off-shore development, information architecture, security and infrastructure teams on developing and launching new functionalities, troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Works closely with Web Application Developers and QA Engineers to deliver high-quality products in a time and cost-effective manner. Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications. Provide practical solutions to problems that arise during the engineering and architectural processes. Identify product requirements and limitations to ensure system function

  • Work closely with all functions in the digital team to establish priority for the team and resolve any priority related conflicts across functions

  • Project management activities. Implement company's portfolio management framework

  • Act as technical application owner to ensure compliance with company's policies and cyber security guidelines

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred OR 4+ years relevant work experience in the .NET space.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in enterprise software development using .NET (VB & C#) stack, including REST APIs, Web Applications and distributed systems.

  • Experience working and collaborating with an off-shore development team.

  • Experience in leading from requirements gathering/evaluation through to implementation and post-production support.

  • Proven ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.

  • Possess a customer-centric mindset and use it to cultivate and maintain favorable customer relationships in order to ensure high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Proven experience and comfort level in administrating servers and third-party applications.

  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile project methodologies. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Service Now or similar tools.

  • Experience with version control tools and DevOps tools like SVN, GitHub, Jenkins, Gitlab, FishEye, Azure DevOpsetc.

  • Good knowledge and experience of Web Applications frameworks and design methodologies like MVC, Angular JS, etc.

  • Deep understanding of server software likes Apache and IIS.

  • Ability to analyze existing processes and applications in order to determine more efficient and secure ways to operate.

  • Solid background and experience in VB/C# .NET and SQL Server is a must.

  • Experienced in working with on-prem and cloud applications

  • Deep understanding of working within a robust development and testing landscape. Experience in testing methodologies and test automation tool like Origin, Behat or Katalon Studio.

  • Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven technologies, in a variety of environments, while keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Have a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.

  • Pixel Perfect experience developing UI/UX friendly applications.

  • Experience developing applications using a first development approach.

  • Working knowledge of UI frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Kendo UI, DevExpress, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of security best practices (ex. OWASP)

  • Demonstrable experience designing and supporting applications running on Azure environments, including Logic Apps, Service Bus, Web/API Apps

  • Experience with PowerBI a plus

  • Knowledge of and experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or QlikView is a plus.

  • Microsoft Azure Certification is a plus
