Sentara Health is seeking an IT professional to join our team as an IT analyst !

This position is 100% remote but candidates must have a current residence in one of the follow states or being willing to relocate: AL ,DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, ME, MD, MN, NE, NH, ND, NV, OK, OH,PA, SC, NC, SD, TN, TX, WA, VA, WV, WI

Minimum Requirement :

Bachelor's Degree

Experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree

3 years of relevant experience with a degree

5+ years of relevant experience without a degree

Responsible for day-to-day support and optimization of software applications, including support and maintenance. This position is involved with working with end users of these corporate applications to resolve problems and managing the availability and performance of the application to meet their needs. Responsible for problem, incident, and change management and service requests. Provides daily on-call support to the customer base for application-related issues. Works within a cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration to meet business / clinical needs. Responsible for the communication of software issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements. Oversees smaller-sized projects or components of projects. Coordinates implementation or project planning around software application releases.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide high level application support and troubleshooting of corporate claims processing applications (QNXT).

  • Provide extensive technical support to various departments by gathering business requirements, assessing business needs, and understanding IT solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity.

  • Troubleshoot applications issues with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and end user satisfaction.

  • Develop functional specifications and system design specifications for department engagements.

  • Prepare detailed flow charts, reports and diagrams that constitute a representation of all systems in terms which Managers or non-data processing personnel can understand.

  • Help develop proposals for modified or replacement systems and presenting project feasibility reports.

  • Determine end user requirements by facilitating meetings, using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, and task and workflow analysis.

  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Develop, review, modify and document Standard Operating Procedures for IT functions within the organizational unit.

  • Design and support solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, reporting tools and/or Microsoft SharePoint.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS

  • Experience with application support (claims processing system a plus)

  • Familiarity with key Medicare and Medicaid managed care functions including claims, enrollment, and Medical Management

  • Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server, reporting tools

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Documentation and requirements gathering, conducting interviews.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and/or 3-4 years overall IT experience as a Business/Systems Analyst.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in business analyses specializing in requirements gathering, analyses and documentation.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in application support and troubleshooting.
