IT Analyst, IT Advisory (Technology Consulting - IT Capabilities) Financial Services Office (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL.

Analyze business problems and help companies develop and implement information technology (IT) solutions. Analyze and define user requirements and design, develop, and deploy IT strategies, programs, and solutions to maximize IT capabilities.

Ensure computer systems and IT solutions are aligned with clients' business goals, objectives, and expectations. Assess and improve computer systems. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience supporting the delivery or improvement of IT services. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field and 4 years of work experience supporting the delivery or improvement of IT services.

Must have 4 years of relevant work experience at a financial services company, or 4 years of comparable experience working as a consultant in a professional services firm delivering IT advisory services.

Must have 2 years of experience with IT processes and frameworks, including one or a combination of the following: IVI, CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, project management life cycles, systems development life cycles, PMBOK, Prince2, data center operations.

Must have 3 years of experience with one or a combination of the following IT disciplines: architecture, engineering design and development, service design, operations and delivery, disaster recovery, application architecture.

Must have 3 years of experience that includes at least 2 of the following Technical Competencies:

  • IT Service Management

  • Process improvement

  • IT Infrastructure engineering and management

  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR)

  • Operating model design and development.

Must have 4 years of experience communicating technical study conclusions through written reports and presentations using tools such as PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Visio.

Travel required approximately 80%, of which 20% may be international, in order to serve client needs.
