IT Analyst II - Desktop Support - Queens

As a Desktop Analyst II you will provide exceptional, high-quality, professional desktop, laptop and office application support to our NYP internal user community, including executive-level customers. You will work in conjunction with a team of Engineers in a production support role. As a member of the Customer Experience Team, you will be supporting over 26,000 desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers for the enterprise.

The successful candidate should have a strong interest in being part of a very special IT department that is focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience to staff and patients. You should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with excellent problem solving, organizational, writing and communication skills. In addition, you should be a self-starter and be effective working in a fast-paced environment as well as have a comfort level communicating with various levels of the organization including third-party vendors.

Preferred Criteria

  • Degree or major in Computer Science

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Three to five years of previous work related experience

The Overnight Desktop Support Analyst will be supporting Lenox Hill Hospital. Primary support location will be Lenox Hill Hospital, tech will need to travel to Forest Hills hospital and surrounding areas in Manhattan if the need arise. Shift - 11:30pm to 8am Responsibilities * Identifies and resolves desktop/laptop hardware problems. * Initial network troubleshooting and determination of appropriate escalation path. * Resolve and work proactively on virus issues and initiatives. * Assists in new system deployments/loading appropriate software as needed. * Mobility kit physical upgrades. * Responsible for incidents escalated from first line of support. * Write support documentation for customer and/or departmental use. * Provides suggestions and information on projects that should be undertaken by the department. * May provide first-line technical support handling calls, in order to provide time-of-call resolution to calls whenever possible. * May manage projects as assigned by the Manager. Qualifications Academic and Professional Qualifications: * BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience. Experience: * 2-4 years experience in an desktop support environment preferred.
