IT Analyst 1 - Epic Grand Central

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a manager or director and according to established policies and procedures, the Analyst III performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on end user criteria. The Analyst III also performs workflow analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation, management and support of assigned application systems and/or projects.

Directly interacts with assigned department managers and senior level staff to provide automation services in support of department's strategic and operational objectives. Maintains system specification and technical documentation. Acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and TGH.

Participates in and/or leads department and hospital task forces, focus groups and/or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives. Employs intermediate analytical and technical evaluative process; managerial and interpersonal perspectives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

This role will directly support and report under our Inpatient Informatics department within our IT division.

• Highschool or GED and a minimum of 2 years information technology / applications experience including build, test, and support of job related applications or equivalent healthcare/heath related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate of Arts or Associate of Science and minimum of 1 years information technology experience or healthcare operations experience. Industry recognized certification(s) for assigned systems. Operational knowledge of healthcare areas such as nursing, perioperative services, emergency department and support services.
• EPIC Grand Central and/or applicable EPIC certifications.
