The Okta ISV ecosystem is the cornerstone of the Okta Identity Cloud. Okta is uniquely positioned with a best-in-class platform that connects SaaS builders and consumers within a secure, interoperable app ecosystem. Okta is looking for an ISV Success Manager to help define the ISV journey and help nurture the relationship as the ISV evolves. As a key ISV Ecosystem Growth team member, you will be responsible for the ISV experience as their relationship manager by understanding their integration requirements and providing necessary support and guidance. As the ISV matures, so does the relationship with Okta. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the ISV ecosystem program with an ISV mindset and improve the ISV journey through discovery, onboarding, implementation, support, rollout, and maintenance. Success in this role should lead to higher ISV satisfaction, stronger pipe in ISV ecosystem growth, and more SaaS builders building on Okta Identity Cloud.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, and technical skills to interact with startup founders, CTOs, product managers, sales engineers, and developers to understand ISV requirements. This candidate will work closely with the Customer and Workforce Identity Cloud Product team to provide proper technical guidance for the ISVs and product feedback. As a relationship manager, the candidate must treat ISVs as customers and think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges to help ISVs grow while expanding the Okta ISV ecosystem. The candidate should also possess a keen interest and a good understanding of the identity and security ecosystem. More importantly, the candidate is expected to evangelize the value of Okta - both as a platform for SaaS builders and as an ecosystem for SaaS buyers. As the voice of Okta, you will have the opportunity to participate in partner and industry events and contribute content to promote thought leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the ISV Ecosystem Growth team to define and execute the Okta ISV program.

  • Lead technical discussions with ISVs on the value Okta can provide, covering the entire ISV journey - early discovery, implementation, testing, delivery, maintenance, enhancement, etc.

  • Educate and sell ISVs on the value of Okta as a platform for SaaS Builders and the value of the Okta ISV Ecosystem.

  • Develop a robust and scalable pipeline for the ISV Ecosystem by identifying and nurturing new opportunities and helping build a program that ensures sustainable and accelerated expansion.

  • Explore, strategize, and prioritize integration strategies with supporting business cases.

  • Gather, track, and translate ISV feedback and help steer the Okta ISV program roadmap.

  • Develop domain expertise and thought leadership on enterprise readiness for SaaS Builders in the identity/security space and explore potential new areas for expansion.

  • Work cross-functionally with Tech Partnerships, Corporate Development, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales and other internal organizations across Okta on a regular basis.

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in developer support, sales engineering, partner engineering, marketplace development, and success or other similar roles.

  • Strong understanding of identity and security requirements faced by SaaS Builders

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to provide business and technical guidance to audiences of varying technical abilities, including development leaders, executives, product managers, and engineers.

  • Technical ability to understand software and recognize areas of product integration, discuss product roadmaps, and engage with product managers

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and share your knowledge with the ISV community

  • Willingness to make mistakes in a dynamic environment. Things are not always perfect, however you are someone that strives to improve process and adapts as needed to opposing priorities

Preferred:

  • Experience with building and nurturing customer/partner relationships in a customer/partner success role is a strong plus.

  • Experience with modern programming languages including one or more programming skills in Java, C#, Ruby, Python, PHP and JavaScript

  • Domain knowledge and experience in one or more of identity and access management disciplines is a strong plus - standards (SAML, OIDC/OAuth, SCIM, SSF, etc), identity lifecycle, threat detection and response, SIEM, privileged access, identity governance, strong authentication, network security and API security, etc.

  • Prior experience in sales engineering, technical marketing, technical product management, partner architect, technical evangelist, marketplace success is a strong plus

  • Bachelors of Arts or Science, with a computer science background preferred.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$146,000-$244,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $182,000-$272,000 USD
