Centauri is seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)/Technical Writer.


The duties of the ISSO/Technical Writer include but are not limited to the following:

Create system categorization documents, select associated controls identified in NIST 800-53, implement selected controls, document system boundaries, develop the system security plan (SSP), network diagrams, hardware asset, and software inventories, and contingency plans

Assist the Government in providing system security support and providing all applicable advisory assessment activities as required by FISMA and NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-37 Revision 1 for systems and applications

Experience with Microsoft Office 2013 or higher products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro to create simple forms

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with the federal government documentation types/methods

Ability to interact and capture/collect information verbally or in written format from the Office of Investigation team

Ability to multitask on several concurrent documentation assignment

Presentation skills to senior management staff

Work closely staff and contractors to capture information to be documented, via meetings, remote sessions, interviews, etc.

Analyze existing documentation and suggest & make changes as needed

Ability to explain IT processes, definitions, and/or ideas to non-IT trained audience

Produce high quality documentation that meets the requirements of different federal government mandates as well as any applicable Customer defined standards

Be familiar with and follow the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) used by IT organizations

Experience with ITIL, CMMI, and/or PMP processes and implementation

Utilize SharePoint document libraries and other SharePoint mechanisms to store, manage, edit, and distribute documents to Customer personnel

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years of relevant Federal Government experience

Strong working knowledge of NIST Security Controls and steps 1-3 of the Risk Management Framework

Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous Government personnel and industry partners

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Ability to work with and manipulate graphics (diagrams, screenshots, videos)

Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision

Desired Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Security Clearance Requirements:

Secret clearance

This position assists the Senior TSCM Specialist and the TSCM specialists with technical writing pertaining to counterintelligence information and producing products for the intelligence community that conveys results of countermeasure inspections. Primary Responsibilities: * Responsible for providing written TSCM reports based off of TSCM inspection findings, vulnerabilities, and assessments. * Compiles and edits notes and imagery. * Perform research and create Intelligence community imagery products. Supervisory Responsibilities: * None. Education and/or Experience: * A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or three years of recent comparative work experience may substitute for the degree requirement. * Minimum of three years of experience in technical writing. * Experience in counterintelligence or writing and producing products for the intelligence community are highly desirable. * Also desirable, is experience with the Joint Staff Action Processing system, Joint Technical Intelligence Portal, PORTICO, NSA Technical Security Analysis Center, experience working with the TSCM community and the intelligence community as a whole, and working knowledge of TSCM equipment and methodology. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Shall be fluent in the English language and have the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation. * Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Photo Editing software. * Must possess in-depth knowledge of Executive Order 12333, and DoD Instructions 5240.2 and 5240.05. * Must have an understanding and hands-on skill and experience with, information security practices required to establish and maintain system integrity for safeguarding classified information in a secure environment. * Ability to communicate effectively with Intelligence Community (IC) individuals and management. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: * Preference may be given to applicants with higher DoD Certifications as Cyber Analyst or Cyber Insider Threat Analysis. Security Clearance: TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI Access Required * Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance and be able to qualify for SCI access * Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (less than 4-1/2 years old) or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Single Scope Background Investigation. * Must be a U.S. Citizen. * Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
