About this Position
The shareowner Support Specialist will provide support to our Representative's and shareowner's, to establish contact, to preserve shareowner assets. Responsibilities include, but not limited to are, research and confirm shareowner's most recent contact. To perform outreach to representatives and shareowners of inactive accounts identified as escheatable. Due to the time sensitive process and various state due date timeline the specialist must be able to organize their time and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines. This process is a comprehensive review of various system software to identify if a shareowner has initiated contact with the firm. Perform written and verbal communication with the representatives, shareowner's and potential beneficiaries to preserve the shareowner's account shares or uncashed checks as well minimizing company fees that are charged by the states.
This is a hybrid position.
The estimated salary range for this role: $32K.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Research assigned Accounts using the third party system as well as PFSI systems to identify if shareowner contact has been established and if there are any additional accounts on file with recent contact.
Research assigned Accounts using Accurint and Clear websites to identify if shareowner is deceased, any additional contact information or possible next of kin or other living relatives.
Contact representatives and shareowners in regard to their inactive account. 2. Perform e-mail communication to the representative in effort to established contact with firm and preserve their shareowner's assets.
Verbally communicate with representatives to inform them of their shareowners who have accounts eligible for escheatment.
Perform outbound calling to assigned accounts shareowners whose account status has been identified as having as no recent contact date, returned mail or uncashed checks.
Submit request to third party vendor via email to update shareholder account record(s) once contact has been confirmed.
Communicate with third party vendor through email to request updates to the shareowner's account(s).
Submit request to third party vendor to update shareholder account record(s) once contact has been confirmed.
Appending Accurint and Clear reports all owners on account into BNY Mellon web image system. Annotate and confirm image was uploaded.
Clear and detailed regarding your research and call outs of each account reviewed, that includes call responses, dates and times, and follow ups.
Document data base and spreadsheets with clear and concise notes and findings.
Document/ annotate all appended documents to the BNY Mellon image system.
Monthly Research and client contact via email system with steal checks greater than 6 months to avoid state escheatment.
Organize workload and responsibilities
Organization and time management is required due to the time sensitive process and various state due dates.
Complies with department requirements
Ensures compliance and department procedures are followed
Adheres to the work schedule and required protocol for call scripts
Reports identified issues to management
Protects the company's authority to do business and complying with legal and ethical standards, policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Familiarity with database and mainframe is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work overtime as needed
Excellent proof-reading skills
