Merrill Lynch ISG Alternative Investments Internal Sales Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to Vice President level sales professional to join Merrill Lynch's Alternative Investments distribution organization to focus on hedge fund, managed futures, private equity and real asset solutions. This role would report into the manager of the MLAI sales desk and the position will primarily be responsible for providing sales, marketing and educational support to Merrill Lynch financial advisors, private wealth advisors and US Trust portfolio managers and private client advisors.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a well rounded understanding of how alternative investments fit into client portfolios and alongside of traditional investments.

  • Develop a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the investment strategy of our hedge fund, managed futures and private equity managers.

  • Partner with regional AI specialists, AI consultants and asset class specialists to develop and execute a regional business plan designed to educate, increase sales and provide best-in-class service to Merrill Lynch financial advisors, private wealth advisors and US Trust portfolio managers and private client advisors.

  • Proactively contact Merrill Lynch financial advisors, private wealth advisors and US Trust portfolio managers and private client advisors on a daily basis to support and promote alternative investment products and services.

Additional Criteria:

Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing or finance (CFA, CAIA or MBA a plus). Language:

English Experience: Candidate must have 3-5 years of financial services sales experience Licensing: Series 7, 63
