Job Description:

The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Kalamazoo-based functional teams with Stryker's Medical division. The Lead Business Analyst will also be responsible for understanding business needs and processes and to act as a partnered liaison between the business and the technical team. He/She will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to IS, the business and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization. He/She is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Kalamazoo-based Medical teams with a specific focus on the [specific] teams. He/She is responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IS technical teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with the Stryker's Kalamazoo-based Medical division teams and functional teams.

  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.

  • Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.

  • Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.

  • Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IS technical teams.

Education & Special Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.

  • Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience required.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.

  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools and reporting required. Experience with PowerBI is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders required.

  • Experience with process mapping is required.

  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes is required.

  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders is required.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.

  • Ability to understand, analyze and report on financial data.

  • Proven ability to build team cohesion and motivate people.

  • Self-motivated and organized with a strong desire to succeed.

What you will do: * Provide analysis of customer information, Stryker sales information, and historical pricing levels to Stryker divisions within MedSurg group. * Serve as a key process and system resource for Healthcare Systems including the development of reporting templates (using Power BI, SAP BW, Excel), matrix formats, and KPIs as necessary. * Understand existing data models and assist in development of new data models. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing available tools to support reporting and analysis. * Provide recommendations and interpretations of the data or information provided/collected. * Participate in development of processes and mechanisms for data cleansing, and pro-active monitoring of data quality. * Respond to all ad hoc requests for data from the divisional business teams, and internal team members. * Follow processes and procedures to support, streamline, and in some cases, automate, analytic and measurement strategies. * Support customer engagements, contract negotiations, and contract RFI/RFP processes * Engage customer as needed relative to inquiries surrounding reporting, data requests, contract pricing, etc. * Document and maintain process instructions that will assist in the training of new analysts. * Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
