Reporting to the Director of Application and Support or designee, the Information System Informatics and Training Program Manager leads the informatics and training program for Information Systems. The Program Manager needs to have a strong clinical, financial and technical background to be effective in leveraging technology in healthcare. The program manager will serve as members of the IS Application team providing subject matter expertise to analysts by identifying or recommending revisions of clinical systems, training, process and workflow to ensure achievement of positive patient outcomes.
The program manager will utilize knowledge, skill and experience in strategies in effective use of the EMR. The program manager will develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments to ensure that Information Systems is using industry standard methodologies. This position works under general supervision with the ability to work various shifts during system go-lives and upgrades. The program manager will be responsible for assisting in supervision of policy modifications, training and enhancements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct current needs assessment, building specifications, implementation, testing and training for clinical information systems. Have knowledge to run reports from clinical systems to determine areas that may require additional end user training.
Facilitate design of clinical workflow and training to gain efficiencies, quality initiatives, and improves patient care through interaction with clinical information systems.
Maps current and future state workflows.
Conduct scheduled and ad hoc trainings for use of clinical systems
Induct/onboard new employees in order to maximize performance
Work collaboratively with team members to translate end user needs into workflows that improve efficiencies, solve complex workflow issues and incorporate quality initiatives.
Actively participates in team daily management and process improvement activities.
Actively manages informatics needs: proactively identifying improvement opportunities for information technology requirements of the clinical areas served.
Collaboratively perform unit, functional and integrated testing of the software to ensure that the design objectives are met, including the development and validation of testing scripts.
Develop high degree of understanding of clinical departments' business processes.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheets and PowerPoint.. Effective written, interpersonal, oral and presentation skills with all levels of staff from clinicians to support staff. Strong initiative; analytical problem solving effective organization, communication, and planning skills. Ability to gasp technical concepts and strong attention to detail.
