This Business Analysis Manager is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Kalamazoo-based functional teams with Stryker's Medical division. The Business Analysis Manager will work closely with the Medical IS Business Partner to ensure strategic alignment and consistency in the customer relationship. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing knowledge and domain expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and supporting prioritization.

At Stryker, our Business Analysis Managers work to understand complex business needs and processes and to act as a liaison between the business and technical teams. They establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business analysts. Additionally, they are responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IS technical teams for critical and complex projects. Individuals in this position have an understanding of business processes, experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with business users at all levels in the business. Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Medical sales and marketing teams and act as a liaison between the IS Business partner, IS teams and the Medical Division.

  • Build a strong understanding of the assigned commercial processes (including sales, marketing, digital innovation and other associated functions) within the Medical division and apply this understanding to IS strategies and implementations.

  • Execute and partner with leaders to assist in developing the overall strategy of the Medical Sales & Marketing teams and IS partnership.

  • Improve the business analysis function through domain expertise, best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.

  • Manage relationships with high level business stakeholders.

  • Ensure alignment at a strategic level between the different businesses within Medical and alignment with group level and corporate strategies for the assigned domains.

  • Work with a diverse business community to develop/create and document as-is and to-be business processes.

  • Collaborate with business units beyond just Medical and the IS organization to establish sound business practices for a global team.

  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IS technical teams.

  • Lead collaborative effort for business case development.

  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.

  • Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectives.

Education & Special Trainings:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Masters degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience.

  • Knowledge of medical device and/or life sciences industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements.

  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying on command and control.

  • Experience with process mapping, user stories, and/or journeys.

  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format.

  • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes.

  • Expertise of Agile Development methodologies.

  • Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive collaboration and business results.

  • Demonstrated understanding of cross-divisional business needs and working strategically with multiple facets of a global business.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working is a marketing, digital, strategy or management consulting practice.

  • Experience working in an agency-regulated environment.

  • Experience with formal Project methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Oracle CPQ, Callidus, SAP (OTC), Model N, or Power BI.

This Business Process Owner will lead the strategy and design of new global, standardized processes including support for and integration with "end-to-end" processes relying on the Quality Management (QM) module and Quality sub-process area to fulfill business and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for the achievement of program goals, objectives, and deliverables in Quality. The Business Process Owner will Engage Divisional and GQO functional SMEs and stakeholders to gather input, ensure alignment with strategy and design, and participate in project related activities like system demonstrations. The successful candidate will lead organizational change management activities within the Quality sub-process area including providing functional guidance to training developers and delivering train-the-trainer workshops; is responsible for identifying business use cases to be leveraged in testing and outlining the overall test strategy for the sub-process area; and will oversee Data Quality and Data Conversion for the sub-process"area, including data mapping and validation activities.
