Able to pass a criminal background, drug & alcohol test.
Must have a valid driver license, be at least 18 to drive company golf carts and be at least 21 to drive tagged company vehicles.
Must comply with company vehicle insurance policy.
Pass a driver license check by the company insurance company.
Able to work all weekends, holidays and nights.
Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of assigned portion of the irrigation system on property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Inspects system daily for any problems including troubleshooting hydraulic system failures and satellite system failures.
Checks assigned pump stations daily for any irregularities along with recording previous 24 hour water consumption, motor hours, production well use, liquid fertilizer and a visual inspection of systems pressure. Reports any unusual readings to manager.
Maintains mechanical and electrical components of complex irrigation system including liquid fertilizer pumps and tanks. Checks all irrigation heads for proper coverage. Repairs equipment associated with irrigation systems.
Maintains complete accurate records on all equipment associated with irrigation maintenance.
Reads and accurately interprets golf course design schematics relating to hydraulic and/or electrical irrigation system to include pump station and satellite systems function and troubleshooting.
Maintains golf course drainage, Trims around irrigation heads, drains and pump house area.
Advises Manager of wet and/or dry conditions on course to adjust water times.
Controls expenses associated with irrigation equipment and activities.
Maintains inventory of parts needed for irrigation equipment.
Irrigates all grounds as needed.
Assists spray technician and/or assistant manager / Golf course manager as needed.
Inspects and performs preventative maintenance on equipment before each use and cleans after each use.
Performs weekly preventative maintenance reports on assigned equipment.
Safely operates all mowing and specialty equipment, large or small used in various course applications.
Reports equipment problems to Assistant Golf Course Manager and/or Golf Course Manager along with preparing and submitting a written work order form for detailed repair.
Performs other maintenance duties as determined by the golf course manager.
Informs manager of any malfunctions or damage
Assists in setting up golf course for play including cup cutting, moving tee markers, and other tasks determined by the assistant manager and/or golf course manager.
No supervisory duties are included in this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimal of two years of experience and/or training is Preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida Driver's License and High school graduate certificate required.
