JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The irrigation specialist, under supervision of the Superintendent and or Assistant Superintendent, preforms work involving the care of and monitoring of the entire irrigation system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

• Daily monitoring of the entire irrigation system including irrigation pumps

• Troubleshoot and repair all faulty sprinkler heads

• Repair and upkeep of satellite control boxes

• Repair when necessary all irrigation line breaks, including mainline, lateral, swing joints and quick couplers

• Make necessary water adjustments when needed including hand watering and syringing

• Report to Superintendent or Assistant with daily course conditions

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 2 years minimum experience with golf irrigation

• Experience with Toro Site Pro or similar operating systems

• Toro VP operation and programing

• Good understanding of satellite troubleshooting, valve in head operation and low voltage electrical testing

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. This job also requires lifting and carrying of heavy tools and products.
