This is a technical position on the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Information Technology Services (ITS) DevOps team. The Systems Analyst IV position works in the coordination of release activities and the administration of the Salesforce organization. These tasks include Salesforce administration, release management, change management, and user management.
The Systems Analyst IV position works directly with other DevOps team members, and collaborates closely with all stakeholders including project managers, testing teams, Salesforce developers, Salesforce architects, and management to coordinate the on-time and quality release of software to production. The Systems Analyst IV position will work closely with systems and processes around Salesforce, managing users directly in Salesforce, coordinating deployments and changes in Salesforce, working directly with stakeholders, users, and vendors to provide support in Salesforce, and will document all changes and processes related to Salesforce.
The applicant should have effective communication and collaboration skills. In addition, they should be comfortable communicating in different formats including written, spoken, and presentations. The applicant should also have a technical understanding and prior experience working in a software development setting. This position works with minimal supervision and reports to the DevOps Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Communicating changes to all involved stakeholders in the SDLC
Ensuring all lead-up tasks to deployments and post-deployment are verified and completed
Performing source code management in multiple environments and systems
Administrating the developer test environments on Linux, Unix, and Windows Server
Supporting and assisting developers with Salesforce and MuleSoft questions
Utilizing monitoring, automation, and SDLC-management tools to ensure applications are functional
Working to contribute to and develop automated systems and continuous improvement in Salesforce
Assisting with cross-training team members
Staying up to date on technologies such as: Salesforce, MuleSoft, Jenkins, Ansible, ; Atlassian Suite: Jira Software, BitBucket (Git)
Adheres to all Texas Department of Family and Protective Services HR policies and performs related work as assigned
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge of general processes and workflows for enterprise IT operations and DevOps
Knowledge of working in a software development setting, or closely related field
Knowledge of Salesforce systems and organizations
Knowledge of working with MuleSoft
Skilled in understanding of Salesforce administration, processes, and workflows
Skilled in managing Salesforce users, profiles, licenses, and overall permission management
Skilled in working with common software development patterns in Salesforce
Skilled in managing Salesforce administration tasks manually and through automating
Skilled in working with Salesforce developers and architects
Skilled in working directly with Salesforce vendors for license renewals
Skilled in locating relevant information for solving problems
Skilled in time management with a high attention to detail
Skilled in effective written and verbal communication
Skilled in independently managing multiple activities and tasks simultaneously
Skilled in using Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint
Ability to analyze systems, processes, and procedures to revise and document standards as needed
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work on-call as needed in a 24/7 work environment

Graduation from an accredited College or University with a degree in computer science or a related field. Work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Additional Information:
