Liaises between IT and various business functions, applying support, project management skills and technical knowledge in a role aligned with IT direction and senior leadership, to meet business stream needs. Responsible for ensuring operation and development of the business function for which they are responsible on all matters relating to Information Technology, including application maintenance, metric tracking/reporting, system testing/deployment, business process improvements, and end-user training.
Works with functional leaders to gain an understanding of business imperatives and act as an advocate with IT.
Actively works with other IT leaders to ensure that the appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are well understood by the business and that any performance issues are addressed with swift, actionable results.
Ensures IT delivery is managed with transparency and reported back to the business regularly against the corresponding metrics (clear service definition, SLA, cost recharges, service reviews and monitoring metrics).
Ensures enterprise priorities are established and communicated to business community.
Facilitates development of cross-line business solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
Provides a supporting role to the budgeting process to gather business requirements, prioritize functional needs, and work with peers and IT leaders in defining the IT roadmap.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or MIS
Typically requires 5 years of experience in an information technology centered field with progressively difficult management assignments.
A strong technology background combined with broad business experience and an in-depth knowledge of related business stream.
A proven track record in a leadership position, with focus on relationship building and project success.
Responsible for prioritizing and recommending project and development deliverables.
