Kidde Fire Protection Systems within Sensors and Integrated Systems (SIS) is seeking a Fire Suppression IPT Lead for the Wilson location. Kidde FPS is a global organization of close to 900 employees with offices in France and Germany and headquartered in Wilson, North Carolina, USA.
We design; manufacture and service fire protection systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Project Engineering for Kidde Fire Protection Systems at SIS and will be based in Wilson NC.
Coordinates and facilitates: design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved and business objectives are met.
Key point of contact between engineering and operations to facilitate prototype builds and successful transition to production.
Coordinate resource, equipment and test facility availability for verification and qualification test campaigns. Role will communicate with customers, both internal and external on status, schedule, milestones and deliverables.
The role will oversee a cross-functional team to support Fire Suppression projects and programs, deliverables and milestones within approved budget and schedule.
Coordinates principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions.
The successful candidate will work directly with cross functional individual contributors across Kidde.
Ensures that the manufacturing facility and engineering department produces products according to customer specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means, tracking progress and performance and non-reoccurring cost estimates with Microsoft Project and Project Server.
