Are you ready to take the next step in your career? As a Team Leader for Youth and Young Adult IPS, you will supervise a dynamic team of 3-4 Employment & Education Specialists as they provide vocational support services to young people experiencing mental health challenges. This includes providing guidance and growing the skills of your team while leading by example through working directly with clients using evidence-based practices of IPS/Supported Employment.

IPS Team Leaders hold an important position within Thresholds: they lead their team in connecting youth with education and employment opportunities while collaborating with Thresholds clinical programs and external community partners. Team Leaders contribute to Thresholds' network of resources by establishing and maintaining relationships with employers and the Department of Rehabilitation Services.

You and your team will remove barriers to employment by working with the young person to develop their own preferences around employment and education and assisting them with creating a plan to achieve that goal. You will help youth strengthen employment skills such as preparing for an interview, creating resume/cover letter, effectively communicating with employers, navigating transportation barriers and other tasks related to obtaining and maintaining employment. You will also support clients in their educational pursuit towards high school diploma, GED, college, or trade programming. You will collaborate with Thresholds clinical programs and leaders and also external employers and community agencies to facilitate employment & education advocacy.

Our culture is supportive, and the Team Leaders are key to setting the tone. During regular team meetings and supervision, you will engage and motivate your staff, provide direct feedback on performance, provide accountability to reaching metrics related to employment and education outcomes, drive collaboration on member care, and actively problem solve through challenges. You will be expected to demonstrate understanding of IPS principles and adhere to fidelity best practices, contribute to workforce onboarding and development, while receiving ongoing training, clinical supervision, and leadership development.
