The iPhone Engineering group is a growing, high energy, multifaceted, and results oriented team. An Enclosure EPS (Engineering Project Specialist) must be able to prioritize issues and track the details, be a fearless organizer, ready to work with the Product Design and Engineering Project Management teams to oversee the risks associated with early manufacturing builds.

Key Qualifications

  • Must have good BOM structuring experience, preferably for hardware products

  • Understand configuration management and BOM structuring

  • Experience with PLM tools (Agile experience is preferred but not required)

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Combination of organizational and highly focused skills when juggling projects

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to react to resets and changes in a time-sensitive environment

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)

  • Ability to influence, effectively communicate and drive deadlines with vendors (either CM or part vendors)

  • Experience working with overseas vendors

  • Off-hour support required via email and phone

  • Travel required

Description

Create, manage and process Engineering Change Orders, Manufacturer Change Orders and Deviations Create/Structure BOMs (Bill of Materials,) part numbers and archive related user documentation Create Purchase Requisitions, maintain invoice tracking and Goods Receipts Create/Maintain Material Orders for development builds Maintain logistics of parts for builds Oversee supply chain for long lead items Maintain schedules for the delivery of vendor components Work on multiple spreadsheets simultaneously Help facilitate Customs Clearance (as needed) Coordinate logistics of units/parts for local development builds

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree or 3+ years of industry experience

VIEW JOBS 2/13/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-13T00:00 The iPhone System Engineering Project Manager (EPM) will help drive a multi-functional team of skilled Electrical and Mechanical engineers, utilizing a solid EE/CE/ME background to recognize, assess and communicate multi-functional issues and risks related to system integration. Key responsibilities will include developing system schedules, planning and executing system builds, ensuring cross-functional learnings from builds are understood and fixes are implemented for the next set of releases. Distillation of risks identified during product development and their presentation to the leadership team is also another key responsibility of the System EPM. We are rapidly growing and this is an exciting position, which demonstrates both deep technical expertise as well as sharp program management skills. As an EPM you will empowered to drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall project objectives focusing on engineering design, development planning and validate well-defined process but may be expected to operate in a loosely structured environment and able to manage ambiguity.
