Amazon Studios launched in 2010 and has since created and distributed Oscar nominated and winning films, Emmy Award and Golden-Globe winning TV series, and has a number of first look and overall deals with top talent, showrunners, and producers. IP-based adaptations are a key part of Amazon Studios' slate, including Jack Ryan, Good Omens, Modern Love, Homecoming, Beautiful Boy, Last Flag Flying, Wonderstruck, as well as projects in the works based on Lauren Oliver's Panic, Taylor Jenkin Reid's Daisy Jones and the Six, Casey McQuinton's Red White and Royal Blue, among others.
Amazon Studios' IP & Literary Department is seeking a Senior IP & Lit Project Manager to help develop and maintain a global and holistic approach to IP by aiding in collaboration with Amazon and third party literary, audio, and graphic-novel content creators, and through incubating and co-developing properties across visual, literary, and audio mediums, with an eye for both domestic and international properties. At its heart, this role is a hybrid of senior-level creative work, and business development.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting individual who can quickly build trust and relationships among key business partners, has understanding of option-deals/IP-deals, and strong creative insights. They must be committed to innovating and 'inventing the wheel', and diligent at following through and managing creative processes. The ideal candidate has a hybrid of experience from the literary, audio, or new-media space, as well as or in conjunction with traditional 'Hollywood' experience (agency, studio, production company, etc.).
