Boston firm seeks an IP legal assistant. Position requires drafting patent documents and conducting research on the United States Patent and Trade Office (USPTO) website.
The IP assistant will work with the firm's intellectual property attorneys on intellectual property litigation and researching potential intellectual property for the USPTO patent application process. Much of their day will be spent communicating with the various IP parties and government patent officials, crafting the paperwork necessary for patents, performing docketing-related tasks, and completing other duties as assigned.
IP assistant must be familiar with the USPTO website and proficient with basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite. They should also pay close attention to detail, as well as have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
