IoT Segment Product Line Manager

Business Line Description:

  • NXP's IoT Segment Marketing team is looking for an experienced, innovative, and customer-obsessed, Technical Marketing Engineer to help reinvent how we market to customers - specifically around Health and Fitness Segment - Wearables, AR/VR, and Sleep Health. We are driving results through high value customer and distributor engagements. We want this candidate to continue to accelerate the pace of innovation in our marketing team.

  • The ideal candidate is analytical, enthusiastic, customer-focused, creative, problem solver, with strong writing skills and has good judgment. This role is responsible for developing and executing a variety of customer-focused and data-driven initiatives related to marketing within the IoT segment, and experience of our customers.

Job Summary:

  • Be part of the IoT business segment team within the Secure Connected Edge Business Line, with responsibility of Health and Fitness Segment, primarily focused on building and delivering revenues from MPU, MCU and Connected MCU products.

  • This individual will work closely with the our Product Management teams, System/Application Engineering and software R&D teams to bring differentiated solutions to market.

  • Know the Health and Fitness market and be obsessively aware of new products, market trends, and competitive landscape

  • Develop comprehensive short- and long-term revenue forecast to manage the business and deliver to committed revenue and margin plans.

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new and existing products, by conducting market research, competitive/TAM/SAM analysis.

  • Contribute to development of Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) for new HW/SW solutions to execute short- and long-term roadmap plans.

  • Collaborate with other IoT marketing managers, Product Management teams, systems/application engineering teams, regional sales and FAE teams to consolidate requirements for HW/SW products, and drive implementation of the requirements.

  • Support regional sales and FAE teams for customer design-in activities, provide supporting material, and develop solution value propositions to accelerate design wins and revenue growth.

  • Provide reference solution requirements for engineering teams to develop enablement platforms to drive revenue generation activities through direct and distribution channels.

  • Drive ecosystem of partners to develop solutions enabling customers to accelerate introduction of innovative IoT products.

  • Create and present high-quality documents and presentations both inside and outside the company. Provide training material to regional sales/support teams and distribution partners.

Key Challenges:

  • Work closely with NXP's MPU, MCU, and Connected MCU product management teams and IoT segment leads to generate high value technical content in support of our global sales and distribution channels

  • Deploy technical content broadly for end customer benefit.

  • Work at both the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth; shaping overall strategy) and at the tactical level (measuring and optimizing segment campaigns and solving customer problems).

Cross functional aspects:

  • Work closely with NXP's MPU/MCU/Connected MCU product innovation and software teams to drive GTM strategies and Partner relationships

  • IoT segment leads deploy strategy into key OEMs and Mass Market

  • NXP sales team for customer and distributor engagements

Job Qualifications:

  • BSEE required, MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor/electronic engineering, marketing, and sales.

  • Knowledge of application processor and microcontroller hardware, embedded and application SW for Smart Home and industry collaboration platforms.

  • Ability to create detailed technical requirement documents for product management and engineering teams.

  • Ability to develop strategic plans that drive short- and long-term revenue objectives.

  • Ability to work closely with regional sales/engineering teams worldwide to fully support customers.

  • Must be hands-on and detail-oriented to bring tasks and issues to resolution quickly and efficiently.

  • Must be agile, flexible, motivated, and committed to the success of the NXP teams.

  • Travel as needed to support regional NXP sales and technical teams, meet customers and attend trade shows.

  • Strong communications skills and English writing/speaking proficiency is a must.
