As such, Pentair is seeking the best talent of IoT Embedded Engineers to play a key role in our New Product Development. We are seeking IoT Embedded Engineers to be involved with both the development of new designs and the evolution of current products to the Cloud. Primarily, the IoT Systems Engineer will both architect electrical circuits and develop firmware for both control and connectivity using various schemes such as WiFi. IoT Embedded Engineers:

  • Responsible for circuit design and PCB layout at the schematic level with experience in Altium or Orcad

  • Design embedded systems utilizing Texas Instrument's ARM, Microchip PIC, and Atmel microcontrollers/processors

  • Select components including capacitors, resistors, IC's, batteries, connectors, WiFi/Bluetooth Modules, etc., paying attention to product requirements, availability, lead time, and quality.

  • Prototype and work with quick-turn board fabrication houses for proof of concept designs

  • Utilize electrical test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Digital Meters, and power supplies

  • Utilize firmware test equipment including debuggers, emulators, and programmers.

  • Develop communication protocols and hardware (Ethernet/WiFi/RS485/UPS/U2C/SPI, etc.)

  • Be responsible for the development and validation of product firmware, bootloaders and test code

  • Do Hardware testing and debugging for robustness and general reliability.

  • Support and lead new designs from concept to post release with a strong sense of urgency and creativity.

  • Maintain, build out new features, and iterate on existing features of current products

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver reliable Connected Products on time and on budget

  • Have a commitment to rapid development

You should:

  • Have earned a Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Have 5+ years of experience in developing electrical designs in Orcad and Altium

  • Have 5+ years of experience in writing firmware in C/C++ on a variety of microcontroller platforms

  • Have experience with IoT and Connected Products

  • Have experience with WiFi Modules (ESP32, etc.) and associated firmware

  • Be computer literate with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook

  • Have experience in designing products for high volume manufacturing

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - can communicate on all levels clearly and concisely.

  • Be engineering diligent, accurate and detailed orientated.

  • Be self-motivated and able to multi-task and communicate effectively with little supervision.

The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager are to lead and drive the deployment of the OPMO and assess, plan, execute, and close projects while meeting Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives for projects. As a core team member within the Operational Excellence group, this person will be responsible for the development and deployment of OPMO systems and processes, as well as projects delivered across multiple divisions and the extended value chain, including global manufacturing and supply chain. This position will work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that best practices and continuous improvement are a part of our culture as well as proper scoping, planning, execution and delivery of projects. He/she will work with management, customers, vendors, associates and internal support organizations to drive change and lead efforts to boost effectiveness of project management globally. Most importantly, be a leader in helping to work on some the biggest issues and challenges within the business across global operations and SBUs. Duties and Responsibilities: * Drive development and deployment of OPMO structure and processes within operations. * Support refinement and deployment of project management structure and tools. * Support development and roll out of project management training. Become a subject matter expert in PM and ability to train and coach others. * Assess, plan, execute, and close multiple projects while meeting QDC objectives. Concurrently, manage 2-4 projects depending on scope and scale. * Project management - ability to assess, plan, manage, and deliver projects of various size and scale. * Projects can range from footprint to CAPEX to lean flow to integration support projects. * Support development and implementation of OPMO future initiatives and roadmaps. * Drive lean implementation efforts through event leadership and/or training to support projects - always promote lean thinking when executing projects. * Proven experience planning, leading, and facilitating effective project sessions and kaizen events. * Promote and ensure lean practices and process technology utilization throughout company and external suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and cost. * Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Requirements: * B.S in Engineering, Business, or other technical field and a minimum of 5 years of successful experience with proven record of sustainable results. * PMP Certification preferred. * Ideally 3+ years of project management experience within manufacturing environments (product line moves, plant closures, expansions, capital equipment, etc). * Ideally has engineering or technical experience, within manufacturing preferred but not required. * Ideally experience in a lean or CI role facilitating events. Basic to intermediate lean skills preferred with ability to expand and grow capability. * Strong problem solving and process troubleshooting capability. (RCCM, 8D, DMAIC, etc) * Project planning and management skills. Ability to support multiple projects and balance priorities through planning, execution, and leadership. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Strong coaching, facilitation and organizational skills. * Strong emotional intelligence skills with ability to navigate hurdles, maintain positive momentum and keep teams and individuals engaged and energized.
