IoT Embedded Engineers:
Responsible for circuit design and PCB layout at the schematic level with experience in Altium or Orcad
Design embedded systems utilizing Texas Instrument's ARM, Microchip PIC, and Atmel microcontrollers/processors
Select components including capacitors, resistors, IC's, batteries, connectors, WiFi/Bluetooth Modules, etc., paying attention to product requirements, availability, lead time, and quality.
Prototype and work with quick-turn board fabrication houses for proof of concept designs
Utilize electrical test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Digital Meters, and power supplies
Utilize firmware test equipment including debuggers, emulators, and programmers.
Develop communication protocols and hardware (Ethernet/WiFi/RS485/UPS/U2C/SPI, etc.)
Be responsible for the development and validation of product firmware, bootloaders and test code
Do Hardware testing and debugging for robustness and general reliability.
Support and lead new designs from concept to post release with a strong sense of urgency and creativity.
Maintain, build out new features, and iterate on existing features of current products
Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver reliable Connected Products on time and on budget
Have a commitment to rapid development
Have earned a Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or a related field
Have 5+ years of experience in developing electrical designs in Orcad and Altium
Have 5+ years of experience in writing firmware in C/C++ on a variety of microcontroller platforms
Have experience with IoT and Connected Products
Have experience with WiFi Modules (ESP32, etc.) and associated firmware
Be computer literate with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook
Have experience in designing products for high volume manufacturing
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills - can communicate on all levels clearly and concisely.
Be engineering diligent, accurate and detailed orientated.
Be self-motivated and able to multi-task and communicate effectively with little supervision.
