The Role

iOS Engineers at Veeva strive to become the leading applications for pharmaceutical reps as they meet with healthcare providers around the globe. You will play a key part in creating apps that deliver an exceptional user experience for our customers. You're creative, highly-technical, detailed, and able to partner closely with fellow engineers and product managers. Day in a life of an iOS engineer

Work on technical designs, identify issues, and deliver compelling mobile solutions

Contribute to plan sprints and write stories

Support continuous improvement. Investigate alternatives, new technologies and present them for architectural review

Participate throughout the development life cycle

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to build features

  • Use a pragmatic TDD approach to develop high quality software that doesn't need to be assured by a QA team before it's deployed to production

  • Own features from a technical standpoint

  • Accountable for delivery of projects within schedule

Requirements

  • 3+ years building applications for the iOS ecosystem

  • Strong Object-oriented background

  • High proficiency with Swift/Objective-C and iOS Frameworks

  • Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines

  • Experience with resource management and performance tuning

  • Experience working with iOS frameworks (Core Data, SQLite, Core Animation

  • Strong communication skills

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

The Digital Marketing Technology team is responsible for developing and maintaining marketing tools to support clients across various channels (web, mobile, and email). As part of digital platform build out we are seeking for a digital developer that specializes in mobile application development (iOS, Android, hybrid) and HTML5 technologies. The developer will be responsible for development, delivery, and maintenance of mobile application across multiple iOS and Android devices including smart watches with biometric authentication capabilities. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * 5+ years of total experience with 2+ years in mobile development. * The ideal candidate will be strong in one of the following disciplines with familiarity in the other: o iOS: Experience developing and deploying iOS and software applications. o Android: Familiarity with the Android SDK. o HTML5 based web applications & web services. * Experience with watchOS app development. * Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. * Experience with RESTful APIs to connect iOS / Android applications to back-end services / database. * Proficient with unit and automated functional testing. * Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications. * Experience in benchmarking and optimization. * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT/SVN. * Familiarity with continuous integration such as Jenkins. * Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. * Understanding of architecture and design across all systems. * Working proficiency in developmental toolsets. * Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices. * Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture. * Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (iOS and Android SDK). * Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement.
