The Best Buy Finance team is seeking an Invoice Resolution Payables Analyst. This role is responsible for responding to supplier and internal business partners inquiries regarding payment, invoice status, auditing financial information, researching and resolution check issues. The work involved includes past due invoices, invoice corrections, supplier holds and disputes. In addition, this position provides supplier/business partner reporting and analysis of account information.

Key Responsibilities of the Payables Analyst:

  • Invoice issue escalation resolution and remediation

  • Provide immediate support for daily exceptions that include invoices, PO match, holds and business vendor escalations

  • Research and resolve all escalation and urgent requests from vendors and business which include payment, invoice corrections, escalated inquiries, supplier holds, disputes return mail, check issues, etc.

  • Reconciles issues requiring cross-functional collaboration to identify root cause and solution

  • Board of Directors payments, high priority payment requests, vendor statement bumps and resolution

  • Identify and analyze root cause issues to reduce supplier escalations

  • Interpret, apply and communicate AP policy and procedure

  • Manage supplier and internal business partner relationships

  • Oversee offshore processing of supplier issues and be responsible for escalations. This work provides support in ensuring minimal impact to supplier escalations leading to negative impact to the business

  • Timely and accurate resolution to supplier and business partner inquiries are critical to operations and supplier relations, reduce negative impact to the business and supplier

  • Utilize and support various systems and processes on the Accounts Payable team

Basic Requirements:

  • 0-2+ years in an accounting / finance related role to include AP / AR related responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree (2year) " Accounting / Finance emphasis

  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and 10 Key data entry

  • Retek (RMS, REIM), Oracle, or compatible AP system

  • Reconciliation experience

  • Demonstrated skills with Root Cause Identification and resolution

  • Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of an organization as well as vendors

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in day to day tasks

  • Working knowledge of Access

This new technical platform will support an enterprise solution for digital transaction image processing of monetary transaction across Branch, Mobile, Online, In Lobby Tellers, and ATMs. This complex platform will merge independent monetary processing approaches into one platform for transaction settlement. A successful candidate will have experience in agile delivery, working knowledge of branch banking, deposit processing, and/or business/system analysis. The CT Business Analyst will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders (e.g., U.S. Bank business leaders including Branch Leaders, Omnichannel Experience, Delivery, Risk, Product and Channel managers) to identify, refine, and document detailed "best in class" business requirements for the expansion of the Common Transaction digital processing and money movement initiatives. The CT Business Analyst will participate in an agile team driving business outcomes needed. The CT Business Analyst is expected to balance multiple agendas, be a strong communicator, ensure a timely delivery of key deliverables, and represent the interests of stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of agile, experience as a business/system analyst, and branch banking experience. Duties to include but not limited to the following: * Elicitation across multiple business areas and documentation of detailed business needs, features and functional requirements in complex efforts like Common Transaction platform * Interview users to identify and analyze needs; may develop project plans and provides input to recommendations for request and/or problem resolution * Agile delivery team member, understanding and providing direction for the product * Participate in developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the business's current technology and infrastructure from a functional perspective and can serve as a consultant to others on platform * May participate in testing, training, demonstrations, and implementation of application * Assist, and at times, may lead technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve application problems related to system functions * Ability to prioritize a workload and adapt in an environment with shifting priorities * Ability to articulate concepts in process flows and diagrams * Meet quality and deadlines of work expectations Successful applicants will exemplify US Bank's ethical principles of uncompromising integrity, respect for others, accountability for decisions and actions, and good citizenship.
