Overview

As the designated representative of the Bank, this role entails being the primary point of contact for investors and rating agencies, ensuring timely responses to inquiries. Additionally, it involves fostering transparent relationships with various market stakeholders, including Investment Funds, Asset Management firms, Insurance Companies, Rating Agencies, and Research Departments. Internally, this position serves as a liaison between senior executive management and the investment community.

Critical to this role is the impartial dissemination of financial and strategic information to both internal and external stakeholders. Moreover, this role involves proactively identifying and addressing potential areas of investor concern. Working closely with internal senior teams, this position requires gathering pertinent financial and strategic data to draft and issue earnings reports and news releases.

Decisions made in this role require independent judgment, particularly in assessing the relevance and impact of financial and strategic information shared with stakeholders. Furthermore, this position involves providing recommendations to senior management regarding communication strategies and approaches to address investor inquiries and concerns.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with current and potential investors, as well as technically prepared teams from investment banks, sell-side teams, and study managers, providing recommendations on the purchase or sale of the Bank's stock and the market in general.

  • Serve as a liaison between CNB's Finance Department and Bci Chile.

  • Develop the Investor Relations strategy for City National Bank and craft the CNB investment thesis and valuation models to investors.

  • Develop deep relationships with top-tier investors in local and international capital markets, as well as with rating agencies, maintaining close, timely, reliable, and transparent communication.

  • Develop and maintain regulatory reports for investors, including financial reports, Earnings Reports.

  • Attract new investors to the Bank's ownership and manage relationships with institutional investors, portfolio managers, heads of research, and equity managers.

  • Lead the relationship with various credit rating agencies (Standard & Poor's, Fitch Ratings, Moody's Investor Service, and Feller Rate), which rate the Bank, influencing the cost of funds for Bci.

  • Lead commercial strategy with rating agencies.

  • Develop a targeting strategy to attract and incorporate international investors such as Bloomberg.

  • Participate in international seminars and conferences representing the Bank, developing various communication channels such as webinars, conference calls, and non-deal roadshows.

  • Develop a valorization model for the CNB Bank, providing feedback to the executive committee among other teams.

  • Lead new corporate roles facing the commercial line, supporting areas for presentations to new and existing clients, including international clients.

  • Enhance potential mergers and acquisitions, which require a senior IRO capable of building an ecosystem with both the Bank and its subsidiaries, allowing us to create value for the market, both internally and externally, such as brokers, the Santiago Stock Exchange, etc.

  • Lead new disclosure projects facing the regulator, orchestrating various responsible areas within the bank (management & discussion analysis of the compendium of accounting standards).

  • Take an active role in the ESG corporate sustainability plan.

  • Work actively on the Debt EMTN program with the international debt team.

  • Lead due-diligence processes for the bank, both for equity and debt investors.

  • Collaborate with subsidiaries on various topics, such as presentations and internal meetings.

  • Direct and respond to surveys with governmental organizations (INE, Ministry of Economy).

  • Develop content and narratives for presentations and speeches to the President, General Manager, clients, regulators, and shareholders.

  • Support Matriz Empresas, Juan Yarur, and BCI by providing necessary information in a timely and complete manner.

  • Conduct analysis and valuation studies of stocks, dividends, among other financial aspects.

  • Client Relationship Management: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with investor and rating agencies, serving as a trusted advisor and continuously adding value through data-driven insights and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in investor relations or related field required.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Economics.

  • Knowledge of Banking and Financial Institutions.

  • Understanding of the Florida market.

  • Advanced comprehension of industry practices including financial and investment markets.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in consulting or advisory roles is preferred.

  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools is a plus.

  • Experience working confidently with senior management.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related study required.
