Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the investor relations program for AIG, including strategy, competitor analysis, investor communications and presentations, investor targeting and operating plan

  • Assist in collection, analysis, and presentation of investors' feedback, analysts' positions and summaries, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis

  • Collaborate with the Communications staff in creating external and internal messages ensuring that all communications are integrated and consistent

  • Analysis of and communication of industry, competitor and valuation information and perspectives from the investment community to senior management

  • Work closely with finance team to analyze financial results and compile important statistics and other relevant information for use during the quarterly earnings announcement and conference call, and throughout the quarter during regular discussions with investors

  • Prepare investor materials such as presentations, earnings announcements, press releases, speaker notes, Q&A documents and other external and internal communications

  • Monitor consensus estimates throughout quarterly earnings cycle. Identify the drivers of movements and prepare analytics on external outlook of the business

  • Build out/maintain competitor analysis data set, track and summarize peers performance during earnings

  • Assist in requests for external current/prospective shareholder engagement activities including non-deal roadshows, in-house meetings, and conference appearance

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree, required. MBA/CFA a plus

  • 5+years of relevant work experience in P&C underwriting, investment banking, corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investor relations, equity research or buyside investments preferred; Property & Casualty or Life insurance industry experience highly preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills. Ability to storyboard, helping to craft effective communications through PPT slides with cohesive end to end messaging for both internal and external communications

  • Strong communication with clear ability to digest large amount of data and synthesize in clear fashion

  • Strong writing and grammar

  • Strong work ethic

  • Solid understanding of corporate financials, modeling, public company accounting, regulatory issues, and equity markets

  • Ability to analyze the competitive and economic dynamics affecting the business

  • Ability to exhibit professionalism and be comfortable around senior management

  • Position requires a highly motivated and creative individual who thinks strategically, and will be able to challenge investor and corporate perception of the factors that impact share valuation

  • Must be proactive in anticipating needs of senior management and responsive to investor requests; able to perform effectively in fast-paced environment

  • The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$143,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
