With offices on four continents, our global team aligns our interests with those of our investors for lasting impact. RESPONSIBILITIES The Investor Relations team seeks a full-time Associate. The Associate IR role is a two year program. This individual will have primary responsibility for working with senior Investor Relations professionals covering Bain Capital Global Private Equity, Ventures, Double Impact, Life Sciences and Real Estate. This position will involve key tasks such as:

  • Supporting the senior Investor Relations team in sales and relationship management activities,including fundraising and short/medium-term special projects and analyses

  • Responding to ongoing investor requests and assembling data and content for investors

  • Assisting with preparation of Annual Meeting materials and quarterly investor letters

  • Creating innovative and insightful presentation content for current and prospective investors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two years of experience in strategy consulting, investment consulting, or asset management;

  • Demonstrated professional and academic achievement;

  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and superb written and verbal skills;

  • Will be required to pass the Series 7 and Series 63 exams within 90 days of starting employment;

  • Strong team player with an entrepreneurial predisposition and strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with personnel across senior levels of the Firm;

  • Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills;

  • Detail-oriented, conscientious and energetic professional with ability to think creatively and independently;

  • Capacity to discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information;

  • Can-do attitude; willingness to take on any task, big or small;

  • Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills.

EDUCATION

  • Four-year college degree with a strong academic background (minimum 3.5 GPA)

Having launched their first product late in 2019, they are planning to launch for a different indication in the first half of 2020. They have major readouts for several other phase 1 and 2 clinical studies. With a global collaboration partner and a new R&D collaboration agreement with a different company, the potential for the company is huge. This is a time of dynamic growth, requiring the development and execution of strategic communications to influence the external investor community. The Director of IR will be responsible for planning and executing all IR activities and work closely with senior leaders in support of communicating the company's mission, strategic objectives, and progress to the investment community, including current and prospective shareholders and research analysts. Highlights of the role * Develop and implement investor relations plans and strategies * Partner with senior leadership and functional heads to assist with specific IR activities and communications * Plan an active investor relations calendar of conferences, non-deal roadshows, and other investor and analyst events * Collaborate with corporate communications in developing press releases, public statements, key messages, and Q&As for company announcements * Manage quarterly earnings public disclosures and logistics * Develop and maintain valuable relationships with investors and sell-side research analysts * Produce investor materials in collaboration with senior leadership in preparation for conferences, events, road shows, earnings and other presentations * Ensure executive team is up to date on investor and analyst perceptions of the company; recommend and implement any necessary course corrections in messaging or relationship management * Advise leadership team on financial and industry trends, and competitor actions that might impact the company. * Lead and manage the Investor Relations portion of the company website * Work closely with corporate communications and other cross-functional business partners to maintain consistent external messaging Profile * 8+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a focus on investor relations and some experience in corporate communications * Experience working in-house at a pharma or biotech company require; some IR agency experience a bonus * Exceptional oral and written communications and presentation skills (strong skills in PowerPoint) * Strong understanding of general science, medicine, drug development, and financial modeling * A proactive, strategic approach to investor relations and communications * Established relationships with healthcare investors and research analysts * Successful track record of interfacing with the investment community * Outgoing personality with a high level of energy, a strong work ethic, resourcefulness and flexibility * Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, team player and self-starter; commitment to excellence * Strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail and diligence in deadline-driven environment * Demonstrable initiative * Comfortable being both an individual contributor and team player * Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred * Hireminds LLC Boston MA
