IR Analyst Interns help manage Capital Factorys global investor ecosystem. This role will support the IR Associate with generating curated lists of startups and investors, coordinating IR events, and maintaining the IR CRM.

Capital Factory is the entrepreneurial center of gravity in Austin, Texas. Located in the middle of downtown, Capital Factory has 55,000 square feet full of startups and entrepreneurs. Take classes to learn the skills that startups need, attend meetups to find a co-founder, rent a desk for your startup or apply for funding and mentorship in the Incubator.

About you

  • You have experience with the startup and technology markets
  • You are detail oriented.
  • You are organized and plan ahead, but you dont get stressed out when things change at the last minute. Because they will. You roll with it.
  • You are professional and presentable and greet everyone cheerfully.
  • You are excited to work in the middle of downtown Austin and have reliable transportation.
  • You have a reliable laptop computer and smartphone.
  • You are security aware. You have a passcode on your computer and phone and dont write passwords down on paper.
  • You are available in person during business hours and after hours for sponsor events.
  • You are available during SXSW (Spring Break) and Startup Week
  • You are comfortable with the Google Apps suite of products. Youre eager to learn about new tools and ways to be more productive.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • You plan on staying in Austin and being available for this job for the next 3 years
  • You dont gossip and have great discretion.

You work effectively with the Google Apps products including Gmail, Calendar, Drive (Spreadsheets and Documents). Make sure to familiarize yourself with Asana, Buffer, and Mailchimp, Salesforce, Crunchbase, Eventbrite.

Specific Tasks

  • Work a consistent regular schedule and complete tasks assigned by manager through Asana.
    • 2 to 4 hour shifts
    • 3 or 4 shifts per week, 20 hours / week maximum
  • Provide curated lists of portfolio startup recommendations.
  • Coordinate investor office hours and private demo days for startups and investors.
  • Maintain investor and startup profiles in our CRM.
  • Meet and receive updates from portfolio founders.
  • Provide curated lists of investors for startups.
  • Coordinate IR events like happy hours and roadshows.

Skills/Qualifications: * Self-starter; proactive independent worker, who is not hesitant to ask for direction when required. * Strong attention to detail. * Strong analytic and quantitative skills * Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. * Strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills; Able to perform under deadline pressure and handle multiple priorities and changes with professional demeanor * Ability to work with varying personalities and all levels of leadership. * Strong work ethic and a genuine passion for excellence. Understand basic finance and accounting. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
