POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for performing financial analysis of investments, in particular mutual funds, brokerage accounts and common/collective trust funds. Supports the investment advice provided to a bank client regarding the client's qualified retirement plan investment portfolio.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Organizes and maintains historical and technical data employed in investment analysis of the bank's Approved Mutual Fund List.

  • Creates and maintains individual client portfolio reports using analytical/research tools (i.e., Morningstar Principia Pro).

  • Maintains knowledge of and enhances proficiency in using all analytical tools.

  • Conducts research, selection and ongoing maintenance of universe of investment vehicles suitable for qualified retirement plans.

  • Monitors "Approved Mutual Fund List" regarding selected funds' continued risk, performance and suitability.

  • Monitors investment vehicle "Suggested Model Portfolios".

  • Monitors all client portfolios on a periodic basis by reviewing mutual funds and other investments for their appropriateness in a qualified retirement plan.

  • Produces periodic reviews and reports of funds used in client portfolios.

  • Produces periodic formal reports to clients regarding performance of plan's investments.

  • Produces technical analysis of prospective client's portfolios.

  • Produces final fund selection recommendations for incoming new business.

  • Assists Relationship Officers with presentation of investment information to plan sponsors and participants.

  • Supports Sales Officers with the development of sales presentations.

  • Supports Service Officers with the development of Annual Reviews.

  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.

  • Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of trust accounting systems (i.e., Metavante, Trustdesk, Relius, etc) preferred.

  • PC skills--proficiency in Word, Advanced Excel Features, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint essential.

  • Basic working knowledge of plan provisions and processes.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work with all different departments and business entities.

  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize.

  • Good time management skills.

EDUCATION

Bachelors' Degree preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel for meetings, projects or training as needed.
