We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Research Associate to work out of our Chicago office, providing support the Wealth Management research team, Investment Committee, and wealth advisor teams with due diligence, timely investment analysis, and meeting preparation, among other tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Participate in and support the investment decision making process for the Wealth Management Research Team and Investment Committee
Coordinate and participate in third-party fund manager due diligence meetings
Generate performance data and other analytics used for Research team reviews
Produce charts and graphs for presentations and written commentary
Maintain and update due diligence files
Assist in ad-hoc projects and requests stemming from the research team and investment committee
Support wealth advisors with research requests
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or related field
Minimum of two years financial services or investment research experience. Recent college graduates with a demonstrated interest and applicable investing coursework may apply
CFA designation strongly preferred
Demonstrated passion and intellectual curiosity for financial markets and investing
Familiarity with investment databases and analytical software such as Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, PowerPoint, etc
Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and positive "can-do" attitude
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required
Takes direction well and demonstrates proactive follow through on assigned tasks
Ability to prioritize and effective time management skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Demonstrates the ability to work/interact with all levels within the organization
